from what i've seen its only the sheep or St Mirren fans that have a problem with saints...the banter's at its wildest when those pair get going

There's a right load of manure over on the thread for this Sunday's Cup game between our two glorious teams :P

You coming over to the Capital to watch?

You're probably right.

Why do you think you'll finish above us?

Been waiting a while to reply, & as we still have most of our team left, will still have enough to see off any other challenges.

Septic to win league
Hearts second
Motherwell third
Bears fourth (if still alive)
If you can't be good, be careful.

There's a good chance 5th will get Europe as well as long as one of the Old Firm get to the cup final or something along those lines, I can't remember how it worked last season when 4th got it.
Scottish Cup Final - 19/05/2012
Hibernian 1-5 Heart of Midlothian
'Forever Hibs' - 03/01/2008 - 19/05/2012

Last season we only had one CL place up for grabs, so that meant that one of the Old Firm were taking up a Europa League spot, which meant that we had to finish either 3rd or 4th to get an entry. This season we've got 2 CL places up for grabs which means that there are still 3 Europa League places up for grabs for the rest of us.

For the next decade I was driven by desire to crush Hibs at EVERY opportunity.

It didn’t matter if I scored for the reserves or first team — every goal against them gave me immense satisfaction.

In all seriousness though, it's not as if you have anyone new...you might have held on to the majority of your players, but you had them in the first half of the season too and it wasn't enough. Whats changed.... Are they going to get better all of a sudden? Why will you now have enough?

And also, you're not really in a position to be seeing off challenges....you're the ones doing the challenging.

Hope that is the case but I reckon they will still be at least 10 points ahead by the end of the season.

I'm still concentrating on securing top 6 & in a way I'm glad we're overlooked.

We've actually improved our team & especially our squad in January, Motherwell will probably say the same, Hearts probably not.

Yep - I think most 'Well fans feel we've strengthened in the window by losing no-one and bringing in Ojamaa to add a spark up front that we've been missing. I'm interested to see how Hearts get on with what looks to a shortage of goal scorers although holding on to Skacel is a big one for them obviously. For all three teams, I guess it's more about who they didn't lose in the window as opposed to who they signed.

Hearts seem to have settled, and kept more players than i expected this window, i still expect them to have a blip but it wont be severe. They will finish 3rd. While Motherwell are finding form again and should finish 4th. I expect us to end up 5th, and to be honest i'd be delighted with that
