Obviously its possible to finish 5th and get into Europe too, if the two finalists get into Europe by their own league place.. however, assuming that doesn't happen, who will get the two Europa league places?

Hearts and St Johnstone. Can't see Motherwell getting back to their honeymoon form, and Sandaza will probably stay in Perth until the summer because Rangers sure as f**k aren't paying for anyone.
Hmmm, a midweek European tie in Perth. What's the record low attendance in the Europa League?

A few hundred I would guess. Don't think it will be that bad an attendance to be fair!

The sad thing is, you are probably right. Not even convinced a European game would draw folk out. Certainly wouldn't get near the 8,000 we had for our match against Vaasa in 1999.
Would expect Hearts will finish in the top four but I think all the other teams could struggle if injuries/suspensions mount. We saw what happened to Saints in December when we were missing (albeit a good few) players. Any hopes we have hang on holding onto Sandaza too IMO.

Us. No problem.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't push for at least 3rd.

These sort of comments were funny 6 months ago, even funnier when you added in the likes of Hardie, Rutkiewicz and Kirk as key men. Now it's just a little bit tragic

Until I'm sure that Hearts aren't going to be hit with a points deduction, I will put St. Johnstone and Motherwell ahead. Saints seem to have enough about them to maintain the gap to the chasing pack so should finish top 5 and Motherwells form will turn around at some point. Dundee Utd can't be ruled out either, slow starters but finish a season strong might pip the other midtable teams for sixth at the split and go on a run.
Can't see any other team having the consistancy to bridge that gap before the split, Killie and St Mirren are like boxes of chocolates with the selection list removed, both Aberdeen and Inverness currently on form but a hard ask to keep that going and get up to the battle for Europa League places, forget about Hibs and Dunfermline there isn't enough games left.

Don't really need to go into detail on these two, do I ?.
That would be just repeating the same comments that have been bouncing around these tedious threads for the last few months, been done over and over again. Bored now.

I fear we are leaving it a bit late this year, so I have gone for Hearts & Motherwell. I would love to be proved wrong.

I think we probably have almost enough points to avoid relegation already.
Next is to secure top 6 then we can see where the euro spots will be.

Predicting anything involving Hearts is very difficult. My guess is we'll see one or two more players follow Eggert but should have enough strength in depth to still make a reasonable finish even if we're fielding, for example, Suso Santana instead of Templeton
Motherwell seem to be on the slide, their recent form is poor and when I saw them at Tynecastle I couldn't understand how they'd reached such a lofty height.
Surely Saint Johnstone's bubble has to burst soon!
I ticked Dundee United partly because they delivered such a strong finish to the season last season.

Motherwell and Hearts
Our best chance is 5th and getting in by a cup backdoor
But lets all stop jinxing it by thinking or talking about it, long long way to go.

there are only 10 points between 3rd-10th so if any they teams go on a big run and finish the season strong they could be in contention.

Who gives a monkeys who boness sign. They quite simply will not pose any threat to linlithgow this season. We have taken a squad who finished three points adrift and improved it all round. Boness have taken a league winning side and ripped it apart on the back of one mans whims. Top 5 at best for boness this year

Points deducted will ( probably ) be the deciding factor, therefore:-
2nd: Hearts
3rd: Motherwell
4th: Rangers
5th will probably count too, as we are going to win THE CUP
