The pipes could have frozen earlier in the week

I was working in Fife on Tuesday and there was a hard frost - easy enough for the pipes to freeze then and not be discovered until the weekend.

if the boys train at park then surely they would know if pipes are frozen or burst.

Yes the pipes were frozen and we also found an old water tank that nobody knew was there and must have been leaking for some time..We are waiting on someone coming today to hopefully fix the problem and have the old tank taken out..We hope to have this all fixed and hopefully get our game on this week but that will depend on the amount of repair work that needs done..Why are Tayport doubting this when they put there game off last week with nothing wrong with there park..There park was walked over by someone and a committee person that was not named..

And when Tayport offered to change at their own ground in order to get the game on the answer was .............?

so what i,m reading is,committee are putting games off and not referees or maybe refs get backhanders to put games off.not just this wks but wks gone by.can any refs admit or give us some input to my statement.

I believe some clubs often foster relationships with local referees and said referees then "do them a favour" when circumstances prevail, this is only my opinion of course, pressure can be put on referees to cancel games when it suits the causes of home sides It is perhaps difficult to have officials from both sides present at the inspection due to travelling distances but this would help if it were possible. Re "burst pipes" again it is only my view that referees would not be called in to do a "burst pipe" inspection.
