I think you're sorely mistaken if you think Allan Moore is any Queens fans no.1 enemy

Allan Moore is pictured scoring for Queen's against Morton in this years Globe Inn calendar, 6000 in attendance. Great days.

There was a sustained downpour of almost biblical proportions that would have made any pitch poor .

Not sure how it could turn a perfectly flat pitch into a meandering set of ditches and hillocks though.

To be fair, i do reckon our pitch does somewhat resemble a tattie field this season.

I must add that , when you have 12.5 stone objects with studs in shoes , diving into a sodden grassy area , then it does tend to make a mess.

I was not at the game for family reasons but looking at the highlights suggest that Morton had a lot of chances and converted only one. The goal Campbell scored looked harder to convert than some of the chances he missed earlier!

I accept though that a few minutes extracted from the 90+ does not always give a fair impression.

Our defending for both Queens goals was once again dreadful and come the close season we badly need to fix that although, to be fair to Moore, we have had a lot of injury problems in the back four - McCaffrey out for the season, left back Forsyth has been out for months and the youth replacement broke his ankle, plus the usual selection of shorter term injuries to the entire backline. Nobody has been ever present and injuries have meant that we have often had people playing out of position at either fullback, including on one occasion, Derek Young a midfielder whose granny defends better.
I plan on living forever! So far, so good!
