We will be missing Craig Reid, McKenna and probably Smith. That's our 3 best players out, so unless we see some new signings this week I can't see anything other than a win for Morton.

The biggest loss is probably McKenna, partly as it looks obvious that he will be replaced by the usually ineffectual Simmons. At least the latter should have something to prove, but he's unlikely to harass Tidser and Bachirou to the same extent as the nuisance that is McKenna. Craig Reid will probably be replaced by his namesake Alan. Whilst Smith is a good player, we have some hope that the likes of Reilly and Smillie can step up to the plate if either is given a starting berth.

I'd like us to sign a creative central midfielder and a flying left winger before the window closes. I know Gus is trying to get some new blood but finances dictate that it'll be difficult to attract anyone that might improve the squad. The next two league games could prove crucial in our desperate attempt to avoid the drop: Morton (h), Ayr Utd (a). If we lose both, the season is as good as over.

Revenge will be sweet.

We will be missing Jackson for this one but don't think it'll be a problem. Stewart is looking reasonably solid so hopefully he won't have another nightmare at Palmerston. Get Tidser on the ball and he will give QOS problems and with any quick brake away from the host, it will easily be intercepted by Bachirou. Archie Campbell will be upfront along side Mac Donald, Archie pace had been causing teams problems most weeks and I expect the same again.

Comfortable win and our good form at Palmerston will be back on track.

Will be a good test to see how we have developed as a team since the last time we played them at Palmerston. Queens are a physical team who don't tend to play the best football and twice this year they have ran over the top of us. And it's always fun to see the next team Scott McLaughlin is relegating.
We're Greenock Morton, we're better than you.

Due to work, I'll miss this one.

The fact that McKenna and Reid are also going to miss it suggests we'll really struggle.
I think we'll lose this game by a couple of goals.

Important losses for the Queens team, have to be looking to win this one now.

Hopefully Scott McLaughlin does his party trick of scoring only to see his side get pumped and ultimately relegated. With reptiles like him slithering around the park I might struggle to even start on that management team.

That's an understatement, i'm surprised they can still field a team, the amount of players they must get booked.
Morton 1-3 Livi / Falkirk 2-5 Livi / Partick th 2-3 Livi / Raith 0-3 Livi / QoS 0-4 Livi

Can we play away from home every week!!!!

Gus has got to play stephen, black rb best youngster we have , i would also, give ian mcshane a chance instead of mchlaughlan who,has been horrid this season, i hope he plays an attacking formation and plays to win, and, not for a draw

Agree its time for Gus to play the youngsters (unless he has 3 quality new signings lined up this week!) who want to prove themselves, but most of all they want to PLAY for Queens!

Yes, I reckon you should field an entire team of youngsters, who evidently aren't good enough to dislodge even the most inadequate journeymen in your side, but at least show effort anyway. I love crushing away wins though.

If I was playing in a team with Scott McLaughlin I would be trying to get myself sent off as well. I sympathise with their players.

You could do with beating us, you could do without the indignity of being the only team not to beat us this season....

Since we dont have the overwhelming pressure of being top of the table this time I think that normal service will be resumed and we'll win this one. The fact that the school bully (McKenna) is in detention or whatever, is a major plus for our team. We can hardly be expected to win when he's been stressing out our midfield.
Oh and a bowling green surface would help. Thanks.

McKenna apart that's actually complete nonsense. McKenna picked up his 7th booking of the season on Saturday. He's the epitome of a midfield hatchet man I suppose. Most clubs have one of some sort.

Simmons, who didn't play on Saturday, has five league bookings too.

Otherwise our disciplinary record is pretty decent, no-one else has more than three yellow cards all season, though granted Kevin Smith who also didn't play on Saturday has two straight red cards, one of which was in the cup.

Craig Reid has been sent off at Livi twice this season (the first for swearing at the ref rather than any foul). He has however not been booked in any other game all season, his two yellows on Saturday being the only ones he has seen. McGuffie was booked on Saturday. It was his third booking of the season. It was Allan Johnston's second booking all season, his first was last week.

In our previous two meetings this season, apart from Reid's red for swearing, we had three bookings in total over the two games.

Big losses are Craig Reid and Steven McKenna, still think we can take all three..Simmons has to come in and try get his place back in team, so he might (big might) come in and play well. For me, Steven Black should step into right back, boy is a decent player, always a standout in reserve games. Hope we have new players for saturday, heard rumours from a few people that 3 players will be in, also heard Robertson was in Glasgow after the game to tie up deals, whether its true or not is another thing.

If the team play with same determination they've shown in recent games, there is no reason why we cannot pick up 3 points we badly need to get on board. Just a question, where is Mark Campbell? i know he had a shocker in his last game but rather than have him sitting in stand picking up a decent wage, would we be better not just getting rid?

Here's hoping the board and manager have came up with at least two good signings before we play next. Hope the names I heard mentioned join!

That is of course in your OPINION, no doubt a fishing trip from a newbie poster trying to stir it, and having a modicum of success, Posted Image

It's hardly a controversial view. Even with those three available Morton would start as favourites, without them I fear for our chances.

McKenna being out is a big miss. Clutching at straws, we did beat Raith away when he wasn't playing.
When we beat Morton on September 17, it was our second win in two games. Since then, we have played 15 games and won two of them, including only one home win (Ayr).
With two points from our last 6 games, it is looking very much like an away win.
Eta Strange to think that when we beat Morton that day we moved above County on goal difference.

If we do come a way with a win, and I'm sure we will, I think it'll make a big statement despite QOS being pretty shite. A win will prove we are back to our best but anything less means the last few weeks have been a fluke as these games are must wins!
