Michael Duberry scored a "hat-trick" today whilst playing for Oxford.
Two of the goals were own goals and the other was at the correct end. Is this a unique event or has it happened elsewhere?

Steven Pressley scored a 'hat trick' for Hearts whilst playing against us in 2005/2006. He scored an own goal to put us 2-0 up, then scored 2 goals for Hearts as the game finished 2-2. His second goal was deep in to injury time.
Funnily enough, that was the first league game that season where Hearts dropped a point (99% sure anyway). Burley was punted 2 weeks later.
EDIT: Just checked, Hearts had won all 8 league games up until that point.

Apparently it was an imperfect hat-trick, right foot, left foot & header.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Andy Lynch the Celtic full back did something similar in cup-tie at Fir Park. 2 own goals and a penalty if memory serves.
They tell me it's a minority, but I've been there, I know better.

In the 70s, an Aston Villa defender, surname Nicholl, scored 4 goals in a match. 2 for each team!
