christ almighty where are all these beith supporters coming from haha

so contact in the box and penalty ? why are we not seeing 4,5,6,7,10 penalties a game then.

Thought the guy that got sent off probably deserved to, from where i was standing looked two yellows.

Big guy at the back , cherry was it , got to say was immense

Btw when we WON 4-3 against beith last season and mclean got a penalty i thought that was never a penalty either and moaned about it afterwards

look at the footage from this game , he stays on his feet when minimal contact was outside box , yet goes down inside box when contact was minimal, and our player got sent off for that ffs maybe its just me and i need glasses i dunnoPosted Image

around 6.40 is penalty incident from that day

The thing is RRG ''All these Beith supporters'' have been here all the time but just do not care to take note of the DRIVEL that you seem to constantly post on here. The FACT of the matter is your team were beaten 2-1 (just in case you have a wee attack of idontremember syndrome) and we should have had at least another 2 penalties. As for the sending off...........you say that' 'Thought the guy that got sent off probably deserved to, from where i was standing looked two yellows'' Of course your gonna say that.......your team are getting beat at that point. I was standing at the home dugout and the referee got that decision wrong. Gary Wilson CLEARLY won the ball...........

And you say you think a draw would have been a fair result????? Have a lovely evening at home with your bottle of ginger and half pound bag of sour plooms.

Do us all a favour RRG, take note of this...............Saturday, 21/01/12 Bellsdale Park, Beith. Kick Off 1:45 pm BEITH JUNIORS 2 v 1 KIRKINTILLOCH ROB ROY. Scorers for Beith, Tony Fraser and Kenny McLean (Penalty).............Yes, it reads PENALTY.

You are most welcome my dear friend. Champagne is for league winners. We have had a taste of that and look forward to tasting it again in the future. Who knows, it may well happen when we play your team again.

If it does and you don't rush off to cry into your mummies arms i might let you have a little taste.

All the very best for the rest of the season and i hope your team get a few ''soft'' penalties. Please remember to come back on here and moan about how soft they were.

I don't know where you saw the penalty incident from KB but it was the stone-waller of the season, shoulder high, nearly took Mick McCann's shirt sleeve off from the shoulder down, and amazingly no booking that I noticed.Definite penalty.

I had a good view standing in besides you boys right in line with as you say a high challenge, I just thought your player through himself in then collapsed a wee bit too easy.

Must admit though had it been Tommy Coyne for my team it was a definite penalty. Good luck in the next round, you thoroughly deserved your win.

Time for a rant .First McLean is a top notch striker a guy i have always rated highly but why oh why does he dive . Today Beith's winner was a penalty from mclean the result of his antics.

This sort of thing actually puts me off strikers . We have a striker and had strikers in the past guilty of this sort of thing to btw there just not as clever about it as mclean and don't benefit as much from it as he does .

have to disagree with u there RRG bout Mclean hate the wee bugger when he plays against us but diving - never - remember 1 game at Barrfields it took Tom Molloy 3 or 4 kicks before hed go down

i find him quite the opposite of most strikers as he never seems to moan & gestulate to the ref at every turn

Kenny McLean a diver........aye right! Most fouled player about as he's too quick.

Don't think McLean is a diver
He's quick and turns defenders when running, better not to tackle guys like him in the box unless absolute sure of getting the ball.
Derek Love was a diver though

RRG you post a lot of sense on Pie n Bovril but to label Kenny McLean a 'diver' on a fublic forum is senseless. The one thought I have had from watching him is wondering why on earth he decides to try so hard to stay on his feet when he is continually being fouled. could it possibly be the fact that you see how 'strong' he is when staying up that on this occasion it looked softer than the kicks he normally (which 90% of other strikers do not) take and it looked 'soft'.
What is a 'soft penalty'............surely its a penalty or not a penalty! there are not degrees of seriousness in the decision. Kenny McLean has no requirments to stay on his feet so that he can satisfy others opinions of what a penalty is. If he feels he has been fouled its his decision to 'go down' or gain his team a penalty for the good of himself, his club and his fans.
The only player not mentioned in the post so far is the player who actually commited the foul. maybe if he was coached/told to stay on his feet and make no un-needed contact inside the penalty area RRG feel the need to sully the name of one of the Super Leagues best and most consistant strikers.

Look mate i made the mistake of posting right after the game .I was disappointed as i thought we deserved a point in terrible condition's and to lose it to that kind of decision was a hard one to take.Kenny Mclean always seems to score penalties against us , the one on saturday was was never a penalty IMO and it made me go off on one.
Everytime there has been a team of the season thread or best junior striker thread , or a thread on junior player's who should be in the junior scotland squad kenny mclean is one of the first people i mention and you can check that up.

I apologise for labelling him a diver he isn't that , BUT he is a clever wee player and knows what he is doing in the box to win his side penalties.

No bother mate i am assuming your a Beith player ?
As i said diver was maybe a bit strong , but I stick by what i said the wee man knows what he is doing alright in that box and i guess its up to defenders to think about what they are doing .

Not at all RRG, do not player junior at all. but watch a lot it, including your own team several times this season.
Yeah he does know know what he is doing, he is clever and this is one of the reasons he has been one of if not the top scorer in junior super league over 4 or 5 seasons.
I have no affiliation to any team.

As i said our defenders should of been aware of how clever he is inside the box . Thankfully we won't have to face him again this season !

Stop being so bloody bitter your defender was stupid enough to leave his foot in, think you should be blaming the stupidity of your defender in being so useless in the last minute of a game.

If the ref had any balls about him he wouldn't have gave it FACT, no foot was left in, after the game he admitted he had went down looking for it. f**k it though shit happens.

Surely it takes more balls to give a penalty to the away team in the last minute which will win the game than to avoid giving it and let the game be decided on penalties.

Did he fall over fresh air, of course not, even if he did make a meal of it there must still have been a leg to fall over.

As I said I would be taking a look at my defender in those circumstances.

Did he admit it to you or are just listening to wishful storytelling?

The game should have went to penalties, not saying we wouldn't have taken it aswell had it been the other way round as that's obvious, but the point of the thread was about diving, so just calling it as I saw it.

I was right beside it when it happened and no contact was made, not that it matters now anyway. Basically said it wasn't his fault the ref gave it which is fair do's but the fact it was last minute and wasn't justified was a kick in the stones.

Mclean admitted he dived after game ?
In our game when he mimicked a swan dive to some of our supporters , most people around me took that as him admitting he was looking for it . A Beith fan even said to me that Kenny plays for them and wins a lot of soft penalties , that's the main reason i came on and put this thread up with the bit underneath about soft penalties .

Can't be bothered arguing about it anymore and will agree to disagree with the 2 of you but one thing is for certain both of you would have him in your team if he was offered to you.
