Heart of Midlothian U19's 3 - 2 Eyemouth United
Good lively game at Heriot-Watt last night in which a very well organised and slick Hearts team edged Eyemouth Utd. Easy to see why Hearts are top of the U19's league, both teams playing some good football in wet conditions on a heavy pitch. Eyemouth will have benefitted from a work out on what would have been a free week. Both teams could have scored more if chances were taken but overall Hearts deserved the win.

Hibs and Hearts 19s are playing a number of games against Senior sides - both teams have players who are knocking on their respective first team doors. City are playing Hibs 19s on Wednesday (25th) night at Meadowbank (7.30pm). Should be a good game as the Hibs youngsters have beaten Alloa (5-1) and Spartans (3-1, I think) recently. Standard prices (£5/£2) - won't catch us charging more for a game against 19s opposition unlike some:-)

Great game. Very impressed with the hearts team. Some good talent on show. Eyemouth did really well though once they weathered a very fast early start. Some cracking football played from both teams. Friendly but competitive

*From a hearts website*
Hearts well on top in the first half but reluctant to shoot. Billy King always seemed to want to take an extra touch and as a result shots were blocked or tackles made. Fraser Mullen's freek kick was a cracker coming off the underside of the crossbar withthe keeper helpless and the frame of the goal shaking.
Eymouth equalised 4 mins into the 2nd half with a decent move down the right and a sidefoot finish from the edge of the box. Hearts when ahead again after 77mins when Callum Tapping scored after a bit of quick passing created a opening for fim 10 yards out.. Eyemouth equalised a minute later with the best goal of the night when an early cross was played in from the right over the heads of the centre backs and was volleyed home from 12 yards.
Billy King got the winner in the 89th minute after playing a one-two with Fraser Mullen and shooting low past the keeper.
Not nearly as fluent a performance as in their last game against Dundee Utd, but a good workout just the same.
Ryan Stewart and Jordan McGhee both went off with knocks. Don't know how serious though.
Hamilton
Paterson McKay McGhee(McMillan) Stewart(A King)
Mullen Tobin(Thomson) Scott(Kane)
B King Carrick(Tapping) Nicholson
Good result from Eyemouth considering Hearts are top of the under 19's league! Mullen was the lad that missed a penalty for the first team on his debut a couple of weeks ago.
