Do you have any football related trivia that not a lot of people would know?

Here's one:

In 1992, Ally Macleod aged 61 and managing Queen of the South, played for the reserve team and scored from the penalty spot.

Final score - St Mirren 7 - 1 Queen of the South.

Some guy.

During the 1970's Albion Rovers had a trio of players named [Bill] Currie, [Sid] Sage and [Bert] Rice.
We all spend a little while going down the rabbit hole.

Rangers original club motto was "Aye work awa". It was later changed to "Ready, Aye Ready" then to "Aye Ready" then in 1966 to "Ready" as it is today.

Did you know that there is already a football trivia thread?
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.
Die, die, die....I can't

The starting 11 and the manager of the Scottish Cup winning squad for Falkirk all had an "R" in their name.
The "12th man" (effectively a sub ) was the only player who did not (McIntosh)
Line-up and manager below
Slater
Parker
Rae
Wright
Irvine
Prentice
Murray
Grierson
Merchant
Moran
O'Hara
Manager Reggie Smith

Bulgaria have only ever had one player in their World Cup squads whose name did not end in a V

East Stirling started out as the far more wonderfully named Bainsford Britannia.

Beware the curse of drs in 2012!

I like the fact everyone calls them East Stirling even tho' they're not from Stirling. Bainsford Britannica sounds like an almanac of motorway service stations or something.

Dumbarton tried to sign Johan Cruyf in 86, but he rejected the move in favour of Feyenoord.
We will never forget you, Guido.
