Any buffoon that think Messi wouldnt be in the greatest 11 due to him not performing at a WC is incorrect. No one man will ever from now til the end of football time, single handedly drag his country to the World Cup like Pele, Maradona, Zidane or Ronaldo. Messi, at last world cup pretty much done everything but score.

Oh, it's not just that, he's never "done it on a wet Wednesday night in Stoke" either

My team'd be fairly similar to Matty's, but would go for -

GK: Casillas

RB: Cafu
RCB: Puyol
LCB: Maldini
LB: Carlos

CM: Vieira
CM: Xavi

RW: Messi
CAM: Zidane
LW: C. Ronaldo

CF: Ronaldo

This would give me a headache to think of a top 11 however good shout on those who have included Michel Platini. The man was a footballing genius, and imho way better than Zidane. He's Blatters bitch now like, but I can ignore that for the purposes of this thread
"....the early 60's Dundee side was the finest footballing side Scotland has ever produced, superior even to the Celtic side that did win the European Cup in 1967"
