looking at the latest fixtures the season could be over as early as the end of march for some teams like petershill and beith .If their next 2 games go ahead then they will only have 6 league games left and what ever cup games to be played so for me it looks like and early finish for these teams.

Makes a change from when our park was the old way and always flooded.
In 1992 we played 11 games in June alone!!
We are still in 2 cups so as you say we could have as little as 8 games left at the end of January.

Certainly in Petershill's case the 3G park is paying dividends. The other side of the coin of course are the teams who'll be playing three games a week into May - in our division Johnstone Burgh & Lesmahagow have only played six games each so far for instance, and Annbank only seven in the ADL. Maryhill's game against Newmains last Saturday was only our fourth home league game!

We will probably be in a position where we run out of fixtures long before the Evening Times Cup, which we have qualified for, is due to start.

As you say annbank has only played 7 games where lugar have played almost twice as much and in the premier other teams are behind but with petershill, beith, clydebank and cumnock are way ahead..

Going by previous seasons the evening times cup has kicked of at the end of may so it looks like you will have to play plenty of friendlies?

Also after next week we only have 2 home league games left.
If we were to be drawn away in cups this could mean only 2 home games until August.
Not good for finances.

Probably. If the weather stays ok we will only have 6 league games left after the 28th, and only the Central District Cup to add to that. Could be a lot of blank Saturdays for us.

I know this is off topic but could you please tell me what your score was against Shotts in the League Cup Final?
I help edit our programme and it is your one score missing from result section on SJFA website.

We won 3-2, with Stephen McGladrigan scoring twice and Ryan Jordan getting the other.

We should be appreciative of any sponsorship but all the Evening Times Cup does is cost clubs money. Not for the first time Clubs have to pay players for up to 4 weeks and will be worse this year for Petershill to play in this Cup. It should be scrapped or re-scheduled to the following season.

I think it was both Cumnock and Ardrossan in the recent past who won leagues then had no game for about a month before the ET cup got under way.

Never mind about that Peasy23. Your main worry will be how to keept the champagne cold, if your team keep winning.
