Fair enough, I was just queuing up the Captain for his usual little MacPherson history speech.

If we manage even to stay 9th this season, Danny Lennon will have achieved St Mirren's highest ever SPL placing with a lower budget than MacPherson.

If we go out of the Scottish Cup to Ross County, and finish 11th in the league.... it'll still be the best season we've had since 1999-2000.

Our performances this season have been miles ahead of the turgid crap we've had to put up with for the previous 10 years.

Results are important of course, and I wish we'd more points on the board than we have, but so long as we don't get relegated this season (and I don't believe we will!) then based on the football we've been playing this season, this is most definitely progress!
