Hi,
Looking for some advice/recommendations for a new laptop.
All I really do is surf the net, download music, upload my photos and general stuff like excel, word etc. Decent memory is probably the most important thing for keeping my photos and music.
Wireless connectivity a must also. A big screen would be good. Never really take it anywhere so size/weight not really an issue.
Not wanting to spend more than £300.
Any good deals you know about? Any little known manufacturers that are good and cheap?
Cheers

Cheers for that Tonsilitis.
Looks pretty good. Although looks to be closer to the £400 mark. May have to sell the wife.

OK, here's a Dell on offer with a semi decent spec for £349 plus they will give a £50 trade in for an old computer provided its under 5 years old and still fires up.

My last 2 laptops have been Compaq's (owned by Hewlett Packard now I think) . I think they are great. Current one was about £329 a couple of years back. Im sure it wont be much more now.
