Hi im new to this . This is my first post so bear with me.

Having saw every team apart from glenafton in the super first I feel Shotts are the strongest team and AWR were strong but might not last the pace .Would probs say shotts ,glenafton and renfrew will be the 3 mind you kisyth were decent to. As for ek we have done good considering the management team have not had a penny to spend and the team is full of young boys after losing a whole team last season and we are currently mid table if we stay up it will be a great job from jimmy tony and all the lads. thoughts?sorry for the spelling mistake in the topic dont know how to change it!

the 2 teams promoted from Div 1 last year, to be fair ive played the teams in question and would say the best team played against was Glenafton

top 2 places will go to Glenafton and Kilsyth with Thoriewood and shotts for the 3rd playoff place

Good to see kilsyth up there , never played them in the super premier so would love to see them go up and gives us a derby game to look forward to .

Would like glenafton to go up along with them and twood to finish in play off and to play pollok , now that would be interesting !

After our performance at Hurlford yesterday, playing 50 minutes with ten men, after Craig Reids sending off, a poor decision by a weak ref, I believe we can win this league and go up as champions,. Still to play Glenafton twice though, and these matches will decide who does win it.
Third place? Ardrossan I think will hang in there and it would be a great achievement for them to get the chance to go up via the play-off.
Shotts will suffer as a result of all the postponements and are still in all the cups so can't see them doing it this year.
East Kilbride are an outside bet if they can go on a run, but really they need to improve facilities if they want to be considered a Premier league club.

Having seen kilsyth v lanark last week i think you may be right right good side. Ek are doing well need to take it a game at a time.Shotts may be victims of there own success, sometimes a run in the scottish can go against you.

Any team down to Renfrew could go on a run and get themselves right into contention. I was talking to one of the Hurlford supporters yesterday who said with three games to go last year they still had an outside chance of promotion but ended up staying in the league on goal difference, I think teams may well find themselves in a similar position this year.

At the turn of the year, Ardrossan were looking really good for promotion but 3 defeats on the bounce have really damaged us. Thank God we got a much needed win away to Lanark yesterday to stop the rot. Were definitely not out of this yet, we still have to face Kilsyth home and away plus we still have to go to Glenafton and Thorniewood. Cant call this league at all

I have seen all of the 'top' teams this season except Shotts. Not one of them has impressed me in the games against us, which is neither here nor there.

There is nothing between the majority of the teams most weeks and I think it will very much come down to a team's ability to keep taking points when the fixtures start to pile up towards the end of the season. Cup runs, whilst nice can become counter productive as it is more games to play when squads may be struggling with form, injuries, suspensions and work commitments.

Points on the board rather than games in hand is the key for me.

I've only seen a few games in the super first this season and it's the same as always, very tight. I think Kilsyth will deservedly win the league with glenafton second then it's between 3 or 4 teams for the play off spot. I hope either AWR or thorniewood get it. Nice to see someone new in the super premier

think as our toughest games are away we must be in with a chance lol. It is up to the players, they can go up if they dig deep and want to do it, there is only so much the manager and committee can do. Yesterday we fought and showed determination. As the saying goes, no guts no glory
opinions are my own and not those of any organisation i many be involved with

JC your team recently have been getting some good results and im not surprised by this as the game at New Cumnock between our teams could have went either way, the match in 2 weeks has become crucial for both teams, and i still find it hard to call. On our day we can beat anybody but at the same time we can also blow it.. To early to call the promotion, playoff even the relegation positions yet, some exciting games comming before the end of the season thats for sure.

So hard to call this year very much a cut throat one i think;of all the teams we have played imo T'wood and C'nauld impressed most but we still have to play Kilsyth twice so have not seen them but have been impressed with the results they have been getting especially yesterdays 5-2 away win at Hurlford with 10 men;thought they might struggle their. For us at Glens yesterdays result against Dalry was huge as we had so many players out injured and carrying knocks'next week we play in the local cup so hopefully we can rest a few players in preperation for the trip to T'wood the following week;every game is a cup final for all the teams.
PS pleased to see JGarroch get a result for Winton after 3 straight defeats still very much in the hunt

Do you guys think shotts still being in all the cups may come back to haunt them? There the best team in the league imo but i think playing 3 times a week will cost them especially if kinnoul is off again this weekend.

Lanark actually looked not a bad outfit against us for about an hour, then i feel they ran out of steam, miby more a tribute to eric and martin's training,we always seem to finish strongly in games,as happned v hurlford on sat even with 10 men we were still goin strong,Hurlford we're a decent side too with a bit of experience, daft penalty against us on sat,our centre half come's in from the side, tackle's there man, ball goes off diagonaly for a corner, gives pen an sends our man off, last man challenge, terrible decesion ! ref well out off his depth again ! I would have been happy to consolidate this season, but now we're up there want to go all the way ! We're actualy playin better away from home this season for some reason, but as other people have said everybody capable of beatin everyone else in this league,i don't expect Glencairn to go down and i think they'l come back an take points of teams as well, expect Glenafton to b up there,Would have said Shotts too,but there havin major problems with there park rite now,an more call-offs could kill them and stil bein in cups aswell.

I suspect you may be right about that but I take some comfort from similarities in 2005 when Kilsyth were also top of the First Division and Shotts needed to go on a great late-season run winning nine and drawing two - both 0-0 against Lugar (!) - of their last 11 matches to join the Wee Gers in the Premier Division. Some fans might say we had better individual players that season (Alex Keddie, anyone? Brian Crawford? Chris Mackie? Iain Banks? A youthful John Boyack?) but the spirit and perseverance of the current lot might just see us through yet.

We were still in two cups as well back then, getting to the semi-final of the West where we lost on penalties to Arthurlie (as we also did in the CLC) but the real big difference (as mentioned by yourself) is there was nothing wrong with our park that season. Just can't imagine how that is going to pan out this season.

I wasn't having a dig at S.B.A Adastra,i was talking to some Shotts men on the way out of our scottish tie up at Broxburn where we played Armadale,an they were tellin me the park was in trouble, they said it actualy looks allrite to the eye,it's underneath that's the problem, said it's very spongey. And of course it could go the other way if u go on a winning run an it becomes a good habit.. A mind them players too, Crawford was a top striker,as was big Mackie on his day, always liked boyack, even as far back as his Dunipace days, never rated Keddie, shows much a know he's playin in s.p.l with Dunfermline, lol, and banks, think he was the goalie ? And of course your still in with a shout to go up,just thought circumstances might prevent it more than anything else.
