Great performance and result from us, after playing the majority of the game with 10 men. I think we certainly deserved it for our 2nd half performance. Stirling huffed and puffed but I think they lack the quality that most teams in this league have at least a little bit of. The fact that they only really created one good chance in the 2nd half, and that was ballooned over the bar form 5 yards with pretty much the last kick of the ball, against 10 men, is pretty damning.
Great shift from us. Standouts for me were Stevie Campbell, assured as always, Janzyck put in some performance considering he basically played as a lone centre mid for much of the game. Linn was much improved and caused a lot of problems. Good stuff from Wallace and Hissy up front too.

Yeah the last minute miss was horrendous after Broony's only mistake in an otherwise superb goalkeeping display in atrocious conditions. It would have hard on EF to have lost goal after as good a 10 man display as you'll see at this level. The sendIng off was deserved as it was two footed even tho it was not malicious. Wallace's injury looked serious which really took the shine off the result. He was the best player on the park by a mile & took his goal really well. Should also add that we saw the real Bobby Linn today, he revelled in his roving role after the sending off.

We're far better as a counter attacking team. We cut East Fife open 4 or 5 times on the break in the first half but looked clueless once East Fife sat in more after the sending off and, in particular, after the goal.

Well deserved 3 points today! We passed the ball around beautifuly at times and defended Very well!
What was pleasing to see was the fight and spirit within the team, which has been lacking in the past few weeks (excluding Arbroath)
Another good chance to pick up the 3 points on Tuesday! Mon the fife!!!!!

Loved the way we kept trying to play football in atrocious conditions. Campbell and White look solid at the moment with Janczyk doing what he does best, sitting in and making the easy pass. Most improved player by a mile recently (discounting Bobby Linn who we all know what he is capable of) is Andrew Cook.
For Stirling Albion I liked the look of McLeish and the laddie Alan Cook who put in a great shift without much reward.
The sending off was correct in my opinion, studs were up despite there being minimal contact with Davidson. McCormack got away with a "half yellow/ half red" tackle last week but a slightly more reckless effort saw him punished this afternoon. I don't think it was malicious, he was trying to make amends for a poor touch but it was potentially dangerous.
Things are looking decent for a play off push for us with a first team squad of 18 players who I would throw into the fray without any reservation but, as we all know, fitba is a confidence game.
I'm off to continue the re-thawing of my nether regions with another whisky...

Don't think he delivered the "magnificent" adjective. Think he said the boys "done very well" or similar...

Going to ten made us apply ourselves better and we dominated midfield. Stirling really need to question their motivation and confidence as they kept three back against a lone striker in the second half and so gave up their man advantage.
Thought the boos for Stirling 9 were very unsporting. It is hardly his fault he got clattered and that was no dive. Even though red might have been harsh it was a stonewall yellow and a bl**dy sore one for the Stirling guy.
Great performance. Playing like this we will certainly get up to fifth soon and have a chance of catching some of the top four.
"I shall cherish for a long time the memory of Baxter slowing down the game to almost walking pace, insouciantly juggling the ball with instep, forehead and knees while Stiles, no more than a couple of yards away, bobbed up and down, unsure whether to make his challenge at knee or head level."(Glyn Edwards, Glasgow Herald, 17 April 1967)

I don't agree it was a well deserved win for the fifers, as we missed several excellent chances. But once they went ahead they did what had to do and we were atrocious. I thought the red card was harsh but not unusual to see them given these days.

East Fife missed 3 great chances as well in the first half . We lost because of Smiths horrendous miss . It just wasnt our day ,
