Tight contest probably with in form Stirling at home.. however, I do feel East Fife will manage to sneak the points here...
Anyone knows if Janczyk , McCormack and or Cook will be suspended on saturday? I see they all received bookings.

In form? Aye right! Two battling victories is not in form. Win another couple and you might be right.

We are fighting for our lives now and with a decent pitch to play football on this week then maybe more entertaining too.

Just enjoying looking forward to a Saturday again!

Strange being up against a team looked after by 3 ex East Fife players. Greig is a modern day East Fife legend and Saturday aside, I'd love to see him launch a successful management career. No telling what East Fife team will turn up but I'm hopeful that our improvement against Arbroath wasn't a one off.

I'm certainly expecting far more from Stirling now that the last time the sides met, and Jocky Scott put 11 men behind the ball.

Good to see Stirling hitting some form. Couldn't see it coming from the games I went to but that's football I guess.

Don't bother coming back then.

I did wonder if I was a jinx after missing the Stennie game and seriously doubted whether to go to the Rovers game.

I went, we won. Superstitious fool

Results first, form later.

Another tight game this weekend, the proverbial 6-pointer.

East Fife had a terrific result on Saturday but seem to be blowing hot and cold whilst we have a new found determination.

It might not be pretty.

Better result. Much improved performance. Real selection headache for Robbo if Div and Smudger are fit as a couple of guys are going to be watching from the stand. Second guessing I think he will go for the same starting line up from Saturday with a change or two on the bench...
The score remains 4-1 and counting...

Deffo, "terrific" was going a bit far though, drawing with Arbroath at home isn't like getting a point at the Nou Camp or Central Park though.

Mixed feelings. Great to see so much effort and goal attempts from the team at last, but very disappointing that the Smokies got away with an undeserved point. Score should have been 5-2 or 6-2. Hope we remember to shoot on sight this week as we don't always get many chances at Forthbank.
"I shall cherish for a long time the memory of Baxter slowing down the game to almost walking pace, insouciantly juggling the ball with instep, forehead and knees while Stiles, no more than a couple of yards away, bobbed up and down, unsure whether to make his challenge at knee or head level."(Glyn Edwards, Glasgow Herald, 17 April 1967)

Heading down to Sunderland to watch mighty Swansea so will miss this game. Not saw us since the regular Cowden humping so no idea what to expect.

Hope the legend Greig McDonald gets the Stirling job, top guy! Could do with him back playing for us again.

McDonald was a legend but he'd be fifth choice central defender in our current squad...

Perhaps, but he would be a first pick at fullback!!!

Anyway hope he gets the manager's gig at Stirling, get him all "experienced-up" for a couple of seasons then he comes back to his spiritual home, you heard it here first!!!:angel

No he wouldn't. Durie and Cook straight in without a shadow of a doubt. Were you there on Saturday?

Disagree. You can't judge both players on one good performance when Scott especially (who is great with the ball at his feet and going forward, but unfortunately struggles to defend) has been torn a new arsehole by various wingers in this division so far this season.

Pointless debate of course as Greig won't be on his way back to Bayview as a player, but we've lost a pretty large amount of goals this season in the league and our frailty in the full back positions has been the route of many of those goals.

Judge performance over the season and not over one game.

So you'd swap McDonald for either Durie or Cook? No chance. Durie has just turned 20, still slightly raw but with bags of pace and a terrific attitude and Cook improving game on game for a player with his best days well behind him?
Each to their own, but I wouldn't. Don't think Robbo would either...

With the temporary nature of Second Division squads nowadays I reckon it's better to have a man that can do the job in the current season than a lad who will potentially be a quality player (probably elsewhere) in 2 or 3 seasons.

Do you not feel too that we have lost a huge amount of goals due to our full backs? Not just Durie and Cook either, Ovy, Park etc too when they've played there.

Steady petal, anyway you're right though, it would probably take the two of them to make one Toro!!!

This!!!

But I think I've already pulled Angus up about this this season after his defense of Linn after he had a good 20 mins in the last Airdrie game, sandwiched between the great heaps of ineffectualness that he has produced this season!!!

If needs must then probably yes!!!

Durie has been an ever present in a season when our full-backs no matter who they are, have been ripped a new one by nearly every team we have played in the League this season and Cook has only played in the last two games at fullback, those two games include the humping at Central Coup, Ovenstone and Park have played more games in that position I see you don't mention them!!!

With regards to your first point and also taking into account the position we are in at this moment in time then yes I agree, but ideally youth should be the way ahead!!!

In regards to your second point, FUCKAYE!!! Hence the whole reason for this discourse!!!

Depends on which East Fife team turn up tomorrow. If we play anywhere near as good as last week then we should come away with the 3 points.

Any chance of the game being off??

Expect a close game but if we play to our true potential we should sneak a win here.Last time we met stirling they were far from impressive and we really should have won by more.Forecast for very strong winds so game could be a lottery. We really need to go on a wee unbeaten run to get us up to the play off spot.A defeat tomorrow and were looking at a relegation spot.Hope robbo sticks with same team as last week as our midfield was much better and the team shape and link up play was far better.

Not really good form .Stenny were poor on the day and still looked like getting a draw until the last minutes , Albion Rovers were unlucky while we for once carried a fair bit of luck . I reckon we can win this if the attitude is right and we actually try to play in our front men when the opportunity arrives . Some players are still playing solely for themselves . Im going for a 2-1 win.:D

Davidson and Cooky . Davidson in particular drives me mad ,he has everything but the vision for a pass , he would cleary prefer to lose the ball than pass it in the final third.

Enjoyed the game despite the result today . We got passed off the park in the second half by 10 men. after it could have been 3-3 at half time . A far better performance than last weeks rubbish when we won at Albion Rovers , Some of our players simply arent fit to play 90 minutes and our centre mids are far to slow . Darren Smith ? What can you say about this lad ? Has now missed 4 of the biggest sitters any fan will see at any club this season . You would actually have to see them to believe them .
