Ashfield have their 4th round tie away to Dundee Violet this weekend. We've had a good run this year, defeating North Super League side Banks O'Dee, Cup winners from 2008 Bathgate Thistle, then tough opposition Whitletts Vic in a replay. Hoping for a good game with the Field emerging as victors but i've noticed Dundee are having a great season so far, winning 10 out of 10 in their respective league, anyone else give us a low down on them?

Much obliged.

They must have a very good defence because the goalkeeper isn't up to much. Definately the weakest link in the team.

Manager joined from FWE who were an East Super League side, he brought in lots of players, from higher level leagues, so there is no surprise they are winning week in week out at this level. With Violet having home advantage I think you will do well to get a draw.

We played them in the last round and they are not good at all imo..The linesman put an end to our cup run by flagging to have 3 sent off and if we had 10 on the pitch we would have won or at very least a replay..We had a great result in knocking out Petershill then getting beat of this gang...

Thanks Guy's.

Scottie i thought you's would go on a decent run after knocking out Petershill, didn't realise Dundee Violet put you's out the following round. What was the final score in your game? They must have something about them with their current record and in the end up still putting you's out?

I'm anticipating a tough tie here for The Field.

I hope you are right and Violet give you a game, can't see it though world of difference between the top and lower divisions in terms of quality, stranger things have happened though and you will need to travel here with the proper attitude. C'mon Scottie Violet a gang ? Poor shout from a Ballingry man ! Still Ashfield to progress in my view.

Cheers mate, i hope your predictions are true, means The Field will be in the last 16 and with a few of the big teams out or potentially be out come Saturday then we could go on a wee run with luck of the draw.

Without looking too far ahead though you are right, the boys need to go into the game with the same attitude that's taken them there so far.

C'Mon the Field

Aberfeldy.......I've heard you a follower of the 'mighty' Lochore Welfare, therefore I would not be paying much attention to your post ;-)

The Violet squad ooze quality!!

As for getting through the last round....sometimes your brought down to the level of your opposition, bitter sweeties maybe from Ballingry?!?!
