Pencaitland a battling side with a few good players...But winton are improving nowt!

Very harsh Alfalfa. Have you seen many Winton games this season, just out of interest? They are certainly one of the better footballing sides in the C Div, alongside Gala Hotspur, Tweedmouth and Bowholm and when you consider that this is their first season with a brand new side - surely that is at least a respectable level to achieve?

Also if a team that is new to a division, finishes higher than mid-table at the end of that season, surely they could be said to have "improved" the quality in that particular division?! And judging by the recent Winton form, I would thoroughly expect a top 3 finish come May.

And who knows, perhaps a Sanderson Cup Final appearance to go with it....
Cautious but never afraid. @WintonAms

We(Bowholm) have played Winton 3 times this season they are a good side always get a very difficult game against them great pitch and facilities and generally good people, one of their management team even had the good grace to donate a drop of bubbly off at our changing room after Collie Cup Final nice touch lads all the best !

Yes uptheA7 as you mention did not mean to come across in that manner. No disrespect intended,Think my point regarding pencaitland is quite clear though. When they first joined the league they cleaned up and set the bar at a fair old height. We all had to improve and try harder to compete with them to which we have certainly done(apart from last seasons bev a suppose).Again going back to your highlighted point everyone gives 110% against LR nowadays anyway and the odd team even draughts in EOS players against us so don't have to worry about games been more difficult as you put it.

They might have set the bar at a fair old height. But did the win it fairly.

Easy fit would have been LAUDER, 18 miles travel for both teams.

Shit park, no changing rooms.

Why can't teams just accept its a rectangle 80yds x 120yds no matter where it is.

I agree any good team can play anywhere. Lets get on wi the football. Pencaitland

if not happy join a Lothian league where you are not good enough......

Iv heard if pencaitland win the league they are going lothians next year!

Why wouldn't they? They are a well financed successful club that come from East LOTHIAN!
