Time to move on after a disappointing loss last weekend. I feel we deserved at least a point out of the game, and had we been more clinical in front of goal, might have even won.

I thought Moyes was outstanding when he came on, and didn't look off the pace at all. He has to go in place of McLaughlan, and if Lister's fit he should start, but otherwise I'd go for the same side.

Nelson

McLean - Moyes - Dunlop - McClune

Crawford - Molloy - Brady - Hodge

McManus - Lister (McKenna)

Still feel we desperately need a left back. McClune was ok there at the weekend, but he put us in trouble a couple of times by having to come onto his right foot.

We've already beaten Stenny at home this season, although they looked pretty good in the reverse fixture. Think we will have enough to take the points however. 2-0 City.

Hopefully we can prove that Saturday's result was merely a blip in our recent resurgence. We are coming up against Stenny at just the right time, they have hit a poor run of form and they appear to have a few key players missing.

Would agree that Moyes has to come straight back into the team. McLauchlan still looks a little off the pace, if he wasn't taken off early doors at Dumbarton then he would have almost definately picked up his second red card in the space of a week. Can't really argue with the rest of the starting 11 above. I don't rate Crawford but he is our only available natural right winger. He loses the ball cheaply on too many occasions and although he has pace to burn, he must think he is Usain Bolt with some of the ambitious runs he makes.

We are sinking quicker than an Italian cruise ship. Atrocious record at Glebe. Home win.

Brechin City:

Quote

Brechin City are cautiously optimistic that tomorrow's Second Division fixture against Stenhousemuir will take place and at the present time there are no plans to call for a pitch inspection.

Club Secretary Gus Fairlie said,

" Although there was quite a hard frost overnight last night, there has been a slight thaw during the course of today and with temperatures predicted to be six or seven degrees overnight tonight, we are reasonably optimistic about the game's prospects."

" No pitch inspection is planned at the moment but we are keeping a close eye on the situation we'll update the website tomorrow morning to let supporters know what the situation is."

Stenhousemuir FC:

Quote

We were contacted today by Brechin City to inform us that tomorrow’s game at Brechin is in doubt.

There has been a severe overnight frost which has not lifted all day.

A pitch inspection has been arranged for 11am tomorrow morning.

Watch the website for more information.

The words cautiously optimistic seem to stand out to me, as soon as I read that I thought there is a doubt about the game. Its like the quote is the official response but there was an off the record 'the game is in doubt' to the writer.

Game off despite mild temperatures though the night and this morning. Can only presume that the usual parts of the ground in front of the main stand and cemetery end were our downfall.

Quite interesting that the notorious icebox Station Park is on ahead of this one. Must be the first time ever!

I read it as 'the game is in doubt'. Last night, the only reason I didn't make an executive decision not to get the train down was the original hedge saying it would be fine to somebody in a similar situation on facebook.

Guilt free trip to the Cove Rangers social club now.
