After Sheerin's strange starting 11 at East Fife it will be interesting to see how we line up on Saturday. Anyone have any news on Collin Samuel?
How have Albion been playing?

By all accounts you took a pasting at Bayview and were lucky to escape with a point. No team has a divine right to beat anyone in this league. It's very tough. We will go on a bad run.

We've not been playing well recently, but all teams have bad runs, we're hardly gonna be an exception to that. Last year our bad run was right at the start, whereas this time it's mid season. People seem to be getting their panties right in a bunch over a few games without winning! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly worried, and yes we do need to get a win again soon, but we have to rememeber that this is our first bad run in well over a year, we've been VERY privilaged to see some of the football we have in that time, and we should remember that. Most Arbroath fans would now see 3rd/ 4th as a disappointment, but considering our aims at the start of the season this would do me fine, I think some people got a little ahead of themselves after an excellent start to the season....
A wee loss of form doesn't mean the players are suddenly shite, that the manager has lost it and we're on the slide, it happens to every team, every year.
Contray to the above - I do think the gaffer needs to get in 2/3 players before the end of the window, I feel a defensive player is a total must, DC and/ or a DL and possibly a wide player as well as Caddis. Things aren't straightforward though, to get someone in you need someone who fits the bill, is interested and would fit into our wage structure. I'm sure the gaffer and SP are working hard to get people who fit their requirements, but if the people don't exist what can you do?

Not well enough. Second-best all over the park against Stirling and Brechin, we seem to have gone flat lately.
Our one-dimensional attacking dynamic been mentioned before, it hasn't been working lately and we need to find goals from somewhere. A trial change in tactics and personnel may be required to fix this, I suggest introducing Andy Scott and Chris Hamilton at some point in this game.
The last time Rovers had a run of bad results they turned it around by beating Arbroath. We've had a win apiece between us this season but I don't think this one's as unpredictable as that would suggest. They will be expected to resume normal service this time, but I daresay it won't be as one-sided as our first Division 2 encounter.

Last thing we should do is underestimate Albion. Apparently they played us off the park at Cliftonhill when they beat us and in the opening game of the season they matched us for long periods of the 1st half even tho they were a man short.
This will be a very tricky fixture for us.

I would like to calm all the nerves and state the obvious by saying " I would rather have the bad patch now than in April or May"..............that said it does mean that we have to get a win on Saturday and then carry that on to the next 3 games. Listen............2nd top, 2nd best defensive record in the league ( so all those shouting about our defence take note) , Swankie and Doris can easily go on a scoring run again , and we will win Sat, and have great chance to beat Brechin, and the re-arranged game against Stirling 1st Feb before Airdrie and there is NO reason why we couldn't.
I do agree that we lose quick goals at an alarming rate as in our "very experienced" defence shouldn't lose 2 in short periods ( which they have a habit of) but I think that can be rectified.
PS & SP are pulling out all the stops to get another striking option in and if it comes off it will be a good one I assure you................they are also looking at centre half options as well so they are fully aware of where we need to strengthen to provide cover/competition and a fresh look to the team/squad. i
I for one think that some fans have got a little carried away considering where we were a couple of seasons ago, and yet quite rightly they now have high expectations because of the style of football we have played, and the brilliant and very ambitious young management team that we are lucky to have at present.
C'away the Lichties..........................starting Saturday

If the Cowden game is off I'm going to this. Is big Gemmill likely to be playing?
If so it could be interesting. He is the only guy I've seen who can hit a ball harder than Swankie.
