Another option. We really do look like we have a good core of around 18 players capable of taking part in the starting line up.Feared the worse when we lost jordan, but the gaffer has been well supported by the club, enabling him to add Cussak and Lyle.Good forecast for tomorrow, by the way.

Frost free in Forfar village just now and it's about 6 degrees. Bloody wind is howling though :(

No frost overnight and no wind at the moment.

the wind may well get up as the day goes on so at the moment it looks a perfect day for a game of football.

Looks like the forecast is correct. No frost in Aberdeen, a cracking sunset looking good for the fitba. The predicted wind might have an effect, but we are all used to that now - or not?

I'll be at the game but my phone is fecked. If I can borrow my Dad's blackberry I'll have updates up.

Borrow? Just wrestle your old man to the ground, Stuart, and relieve him of his Blackberry. You know it makes sense.

You would think so - but left charger at work! However, about 33% charged - I won't use it so you should have enough juice left for your broadcasts to the waiting world.

we were under a lot of pressure today but we defended very well. mcallum in goal had some very good last gasp saves and if it wasnt for him we wouldnt have got the 3 points.

new boy Coyne looked like he will do a job for us and nicky low took his goal well :)

the wind was a bit mental today as has been the case in the past few games at station park but i suppose both teams have to play in the conditions.

massive game against stirling albion on tuesday and hopefully another very welcome 3 points

I'm sorry, what? The best team most certainly lost today. Simply wasn't our day.

The 'best team' is taking it a bit far. You ground out an win so well done for that, your keeper played a stormer with some really good saves.
A disappointing afternoon from a Cowden point of view, could have been up in the first minute but for the keeper stopping it with his leg but it wasn't to be.
Had to laugh at the Forfar fans giving the ref pelters for adding time on - if your team hadn't spent the second half time wasting at every opportunity he wouldn't have had to add the time on

A Half decent game considering the wind.

Well taken goal by Low who played well all game, Coyne looks a find, and now playing with 3 players who have pace, we look a different team.

Our keeper kept us in the game, Cowdens never, thought their keeper was very poor.

Cowdenbeath are still the best team I have seen all season at the Staish.

Cheers for not having your shooting boots on today and thanks for the 3 points.
My wife asked me to kiss her where its wet and smelly so I took her to Arbroath.

Dont think the windy conditions suit Cowden's style of play....ie ball in air all the time! We looked composed and bossed it, cant remember our keeper havin a save to make!!

I dont class shots straight at you as a save..its a block, its his basic job....not one "save" to make in the whole game !! 8)

If there was a single person in the ground who could honestly say Forfar were the better side I'd be surprised. It just wasn't our day - Coult had 2 off the line, Stewart missed a one on one, Lyle blazed over. We played some nice football but were just too wasteful in front of goal.

That said it was a good goal from Forfar - cracking finish. For us being so wasteful we didn't deserve anything so fair play to Forfar.

Hope the injuries to Colin and Mini aren't serious.
