I have to say that the Jambos were pish which made us look better, couldn't have been nice for the fans in the away end as they had the harsh weather in there faces the whole game.I spoke to a few Jambos after the game, they weren't that concerned about the result as Hibs lost and Hearts are still 3rd,just not happy about the team not turning up.

Thought we were very good yesterday considering the poor conditions, the whole team played well and Hayes was man of the match by a mile.

Our away form has been terrible for a while now,the only team we seem to beat away is Hibs.Never mind though, credit to ICT who have all but secured their SPL place in the last 4 weeks. The only negative is another season of sandy cromarty and his playground banter.
Those are my principles, and if you dont like them..........well, i have others.

I was at the other end of the park so i didn't get a clear view of it, but from where I was, it looked like Templeton slipped. He took it past Proctor, took a touch, and went to ground. Shat my frillies as my first thought was "penalty". I wouldn't have been surprised if it was given. What did the Jambos who were there make of the penalty incident ?
Temps flicked the ball past proctor and Proctor seemed to have caught Temps (not on purpose) so i felt it should have been a penalty, alway mind the ICT fans shouting for a penalty when Hammil chested the ball (or so it seemed from our end) what was your views on it

Looked to me like the ball didn't bounce as high as he thought due to the wet pitch, and he awkwardly chested back with contact from one or both arms.
Proctor is usually good for giving away a penalty too so maybe we got lucky ,but I thought templeman went down easy, although i was a good bit away so could be wrong!

Don't think there was anything in the Templeton incident, albeit looking at it from the opposite end. He appeared to slip after turning back and lost his footing. Was there any contact? Hammil was probably ball to hand, nonetheless they have been given before. Ian Black pushed his luck all day, petulant and cynical and should have been booked before he was. I don't agree at all with the claims that we were heavy handed. For that I will read it as more skillful than the Jambo's; lifes a bitch.

Hugely unexpected but also unexpected win yesterday. The conditions were abysmal for most of the game and I feared the worst when the announcer told people to hold on to their ticket stubs in case the game was called off!
Overall I was very disappointed with Hearts who offered very little in the final third of the pitch. The seemed reasonable enough at the back but how that team scored five goals last week is beyond me. In the first half we were able to limit them to a very tame effort from Templeton as well as that thunderous strike from Hammil which smashed off the crossbar. We on the other hand were creating a good number of chances which went begging thanks in part to poor finishing and solid keeping from Kello.
Hayes in particular was a menace as he tore the Hearts left side to pieces throughout the opening 20 minutes. Barr probably should have been sent off after rugby tackling Hayes, which resulted in a yellow card, then following it up with a scything tackle on the same player on the touchline which, for some reason, went unpunished. Foran, Hayes, Sutherland and Tade all threatened to open the scoring but Kello was equal to their efforts or they squirmed wide of target.
In the second half we found ourselves playing into the wind and I expected to see Hearts threaten more but whilst they enjoyed a wee bit more of the ball than they did in the first half we still created the better openings. Tansey and Hayes were the main creative forces for us and it was from a smart and direct run from Hayes that saw us opening the scoring. He drove right at the Hearts right back before standing a ball up into the box and Sutherland arrived to header down underneath the diving Kello. A fully deserved lead for ICT. The poor weather almost saw Kello caught out twice as cross cum hopeful shots looped over him and one, from Sutherland, struck the bar. The Hammil handball penalty appeal was an interesting one. At first he chests it back to Kello but then, as he falls over, the ball hits his arm. The referee needs to decide if, amongst other things, it was deliberate. It was a very difficult one to call but I was certainly appealing for it at the game.
Hearts best effort, up to this point, had come from an Ian Black free kick. As the majority of players headed towards the back post Black fired a shot in towards the near post nearly catching Esson off guard but he did well to hold on in difficult conditions. By this time Suso Santan had come on meaning Hearts had two very pacey wingers on either side but both Meekings and Gillet, the latter in particular, snuffed out the threat of the Hearts wide men. Skacel lashed a shot over the bar and there was the Templeton penalty shout which, from my view, looked like he had slipped before there was any contact from Meekings anyway, but ICT were able to hold on to grab the three points.
Looking at ICT specifically Hayes, Tansey and Gillet were absolutely outstanding. Hayes direct running caused Hearts problems all day as they didn't know how to stop him aside from employing Real Madrid style tactics to stop Messi i.e. kick the shit out of him. Tansey covered almost every inch of grass as he helped shield the defence and then was at the other end of the pitch helping to set up chances for his team mates. Gillet, having moved back to LB from CB, dealt well with the pacey and tricky Santana when he came on having previously nullified any Hearts attacks coming down his side. Foran again did well in his new midfield role and it was good to see Sutherland get a game although he took a wee while to come into things. The new lad Williams at the back was composed, solid in the tackle and distributed the ball well and Meekings continues to show excellent potential with another assured display. In fact, considering it was yet another back line for us they were remarkably solid throughout the game.
Overall a very impressive ICT performance coupled with a pretty poor Hearts display. Hopefully we can keep this run going against St. Mirren next week.

Pretty sure it was Meekings that watched Templeton slip on his arse.

Commentators on the radio said it looked a definite penalty and laughed away the claim for a handball.
We would have been very lucky to come away with a point though by the sound of it.

Highlights up now. Definitely not a penalty for the "foul" on Templeton. He just slips.

From viewing the highlights and reading comments on here it seems that Greg Tansey got more involved today than previously and had a handy game. Good, he was the player who came in with the biggest reputation and it's only in the last few weeks he's started to live up to it.

Big reputation.Really.He came from a relegated Stockport County,i don't think to much was expected from a player heading to Englands 5th tier

Webster isn't very good is he?
That was the worst Hearts performance that I've ever seen.
The nyaff Black was withdrawn (pity his father didn't) to save him from being sent off.
Looks like its back to painting skirting boards for him.
Templeton should be thoroughly ashamed of himself for his piece of skullduggery.
Caley were very good.
Great to see Nick Ross getting back up to speed once again.

I didn't think he came here with very much of a big reputation same as with all our signings, as a teenager Liverpool tried to sign him but he opted for playing 1st team football with Stockport rather than spend a couple of years in the reserves. Certainly has potential and has taken him a while to find form, maybe with Davis gone he has his chance.

Neither was a Penalty, from what my eyes show me, Templeton turned Meekings and stood on his calf.
Our Claim for the Handball on Hammil was not a Penalty at all, i only shouted for it our of hope... clearly hit his chest!
Over all good win for Inverness, we took our chance, but the keeper has to do better than he did for it!
