I agree with mostly everything thats been said above.I also believe that Sandy still doesnt know what his best team is and for me thats shocking at this stage of the season.I also think that he only has a 'Plan A' for games and if this isnt working he doesnt know how to change it for the better.Chops and changes the team every week instead of getting a settled line-up.Joe Bradley is the best midfielder we have and why he isnt the 1st name on the team sheet every week is a mystery. As for Keith Ross spoke to him after the game on Sat and thankfully its not an injury to his knee but his hamstring as mentioned by someone in a previous post.

Thought the midfield that started at Petershill of Johnston-Keenan-McKeown-Deas offered very little width and tried to play everything through the middle. Marks was very lively up front but got very little decent service. There are certainly some very good players in the Lie squad but talking to a couple of guys after our game some of them think that they are now playing a in very different and much less effective style since Sandy took over, but in saying that it was still good enough to finish second last year.

lie will stay up in my opinion, they lost the best goalkeeper in the juniors in neil parry and also lost a dominant centre half in frank mckeown winnin headers etc who has not been replaced unless michael keenan plays at centre half, david merriman is a sweeper and not a ball winning centre half so why sandy didnt address this by replacing frank like with like is beyond me, john mcclay is not a left midfielder and the same with john johnston on the right, bradley HAS to start everyweek, the lad stewart (wee striker) has impressed me when ive seen him and without his goals they could be further down the league. johnny miller would do a better job. The current squad is a strong enough to stay up but needs a manager to play players in the correct positions. eeka peeka

You're pretty near the mark in what you say. Neil Parry was a huge loss, add Frank McKeown stolen by Stranraer and the previous season Winter (Amateur? Aye right) and the best centre in the junior game Craig Malcolm. These four were very hard to replace, and that wee ginger nut from the ferry town team, will no doubt be mooching about to see what he can steal for next season.

That said we might just be on a temporary slide, but Saturday at Kilsyth (frost permitting) will make or break the season. Anyhow the junior game is getting worse every year, while the Hampden 'powers that be' along with club delegate Luddites are doing bugger all about it. Fans are deserting in their thousands all over the land.

There were a load of fans leaving early due to the fact the polis were about to remove all the motors parked on 1 of the streets outside the ground.

There was also the funny sight of the ref stopping the game to ask 1 of the Lie bench to go and get his car keys to move his car!!!

To be fair his car parking was about the only bad decision he made all day!!!!

I was at the Lie v Beith game, Beith scored their third and then we had an announcement that the police were booking the cars parked alongside the ground. The place emptied....i headed out and saw big McLay (who had been subbed) in his Lie strip move his car. At that time about six cars had tickets on them. Folk have been parking on that street for years, why the sudden attack by the Law?

Thinks it's a dispute with the bus garage across the road. Their drivers have been getting tickets the past fortnight for parking on the main road.

Dunno why they picked on the fans on Saturday though, the game was bad enough !

Should have added at the back they did look poor although they do have one of the best goalkeepers in the league in Keith Ross.

Keith had to go off injured at the start of the 2nd half on Saturday with what looked like a re-occurence of his knee injury. Someone did mention it was his hamstring though. Either way he could be out for a wee while.

he's been very disappointing lately and was definately at fault for the 2nd goal on Sat ( was told that he's been faulty for last couple of matches)

He was certainly blameless for any of the goals at Petershill and he had a handful of very good saves.

First one was scrambled in by McGladrigan from close in, defo not his fault. Second was a peach of a cross by Palmer volleyed home by Finnigan. If you are being really harsh you could say he could have tried to collect the cross, but it was swinging away from him and I doubt he would have got it. 3rd a free header by Green from an in swinging corner which he definitely couldn't do anything about.

wouldnt have blamed him for the 2nd for beith. Was a fluke where guy tried to cross it and it looped in.Wasnt at blame for any peasy goals either. And made sure of the 3points for us at Talbot with some excellent saves in the 2nd half.

Are you serious? I only see Arthurlie occasionally but I think he is the worst 1st choice keeper I have seen at Dunterlie in the last 30 years - too small, too heavy, his distribution is poor and his handling is dodgy.

When fit this guy is as good as most keepers ive seen in the juniors. I do agree he has been disappointing for Arthurlie but if he does get his proper fitness back you will see how good he is.

In my opinion Keith when fit is undoubtedly the best in the league. When we won the league he was outstanding. However, on Saturday he didnt look himself and I felt he would have saved the first and second had he been the player he was when at Beith.

He has always LOOKED heavy but he is actually very agile. His handling is top notch but his kicking although improved is his one big weakness.

Many Arthurlie fans were sad to see Mark Cameron leave along with Quadie. Sandy McLeans record hasn't been too bad since he came in, although they have been anything but consistant this season. Time will tell, but Saturday is a really big day and defeat would leave us with little for the rest of the season.
Some of you are getting as big a moaners as that Pollok mob. Well no jist as bad, yet!

Having watched Keith Ross several times when he played for Kilwinning and Beith I thought he was a great goalkeeper! Perhaps as mentioned his injury is affecting his form? For the record what injury is it he is carrying anyone know?

At the start of the 2010-11 season he got at bad injury to his knee in a pre season friendly up at neilston and did not play a game all season at beith, He left beith for girvan aftera fallout and played a few games at the end of the season. the injury he picked up on saturday was a hamstring as far i am aware.
