A bit early but I'm sure we are all excited about discussing this mouthwatering fixture.

It's going to be a tough game (cliche alert) but hopefully County can get back to winning ways in the league. The game will probably be won or lost in the midfield with Britturs or Kettson (did you see what I did there? Did you?!) up against Tidserou and, um, the other guys.

I'm heading up to this from Glasgow. I do believe that Staggy4life is also taking up Scotrail's charitable offer of £19 return to/from Dingwall.

Predictions:

Paul Di Giacomo to do the "Di Giac Shuffle".
Colin Stewart to throw one in.
Bachirou and Kettlewell to resume their battle that started at Cappielow (Kettlewell is currently leading 0-1 after the first leg).
McMenamin to score before throwing wads of cash into the away end.
The referee to give County a favourable decision (be that a dodgy red card to the opposition, adding on enough time for County to get a significant late goal, or generally being pro-County throughout) since we missed our usual dodgy decision going our way against Queen of the South.
Ayr fans to post tedious "patter" in this thread.

1-1 draw. We play shite until Country score then we're the better team for the rest of the game but County manage a couple of chances on the break that Stewart keeps out with a couple of cracking saves.

Vigurs and Campbell to score the goals.

Me to spend all week hmming and hawing about going up or not and eventually not bothering and to spend Saturday afternoon playing Football Manager and listening to Open All Mics which will be more exciting than going to the game itself which will be a bit shit.

I'd rather chisel the lyrics of "Love is a Laserquest" into both my thighs than go to this game.

Match postponed, Morton fans to make their obligatory midweek trip to Dingwall in March/April.

Given I can't make this Saturday's game, I'd be pleased with this scenario, even if it inconveniences everyone else.

We'd be as well giving County a goal head start since we don't seem to start playing until we're behind now.

County 2-1 Ton :(

Sorry to 'hi-jack' the thread, but has County's 2 postponed games been re-arranged yet?

It'll need to be at the warm up or at the halftime break. After Saturday, he'll be lucky to get a place on the bench. I don't expect us to get anything from this game. In fact, I feel exactly the way I did when we played at Dens on Boxing Day!

Speaking from my lofty position as 'bookies friend' (I had Falkirk, Morton and County as a treble on Saturday) I can say with some authority that Ross County have run out of steam to some extent. We on the other hand have the legendary 'Bachdser' in midfield. (no relation to Jim Bachdser)
This is a stick on draw. County's cruise to the title will be maintained as will our 'promising midtable divas' status.

Well, I'm taking the long journey up to Dingwall to see this one.

If we have any chance of winning, our defence will have to get there act together! Also we will have to go 1-0 down as it seems that that's when we decide to play well. If we get a point, I will be delighted and I have confidence in the team to do so.

Ross County 2 vs 2 Morton (Campbell + O'Brian )
Greenock Morton and PEC Zwolle. Blue and White Hoops United.

No. Has Dundee's?

No. Although County will have played one game in hand by the start of February.

I must say that the way the fixtures/postponed games has fallen this season pleases me greatly.

Looking forward to my first game of 2012 due to work. The Sainsbury's train deal of £19 return is an added bonus too.

In the league we don't seem to be playing great at the moment but we're still picking up points. I'll go for 2-1 us.

Winning our next two games (which are at home) would be great as Falkirk and Dundee are both away from home on Saturday so it won't be easy for either of them. The weekend after we play but they don't. Time to take advantage of this and get points on the board as well as getting rid of one of these games in hand temporarily.

Good luck to Morton in this one. You've always been my favourite 'other' team. Tidser (2) Bachirou (1) in a 3 nil home reverse.

I don't expect anything from this game. In fact just the way I felt on Boxing Day!

Can see this being a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.

I'd say our current four game unbeaten run is misleading, as we were only playing diddies like Ayr, Raith and Dundee. Totally different prospect here.

We'll need to put two at least competent halves together for this game. Play poorly for 45-60 minutes again and our run will be comfortably put away I reckon. Play well like we have in 2nd halves recently and the Dundee game before that and we'll see a good game. No right to expect a result but we're well capable.

Difficult to know what to make of this game. We haven't won in three in the league, whilst Morton appear to have have recovered something like their early season form in taking 7 points from 9.

I was at the game at Cappielow where County won pretty comfortably, but I suspect this match will be more like the opening game of the season at Victoria Park. If we get our shooting boots back on (Saturday being the first time we've failed to score in the league since the opening day) I think we'll win, but 0-0 would not surprise me.

After Christmas, I simply cannot afford to make the trip. Can't see us getting 3 points, but I'd take a draw if it was offered. O'Brien to be fucking awful and still score.

Last time I went through Dingwall I was stopped for doing 42 in a 30 zone. £6 fine. Mind you it was 1979 and Morton had a team that included Roy Baines, Davie Hayes, Jim Holmes, Roddy Hutchison, Bobby Thomson and Andy Ritchie. It would be a £60 fine nowadays and we've dropped the standard of the team a bit, allowing in the likes of Di Giacomo. I reckon Tidserou would probably make the 79 team, but I'm still not risking another speeding ticket. Probably a draw and not a high scoring one. Maybe we'll get the breaks as we did at Dens but experience tells me to expect nothing and then I'll not be disappointed.
