What was that immobile dungheap Clyde had playing at No 4? He was only slightly more useless than No 2 and No 5.

I thought that Duff Jimmy would have got the Clyde defence sorted after almost a year but no.

Question to Clyde supporters. Has Duff Jimmy got any future with you or do I listen to the Brechiners who appear to think he is a chancer?

Before the game we had the best defensive record in the division. I'll take yesterday as a bad day at the office as we were missing a few players we'd have normally played this season; Gallagher, Brown, Sweeney, Cusack etc.

You're either at the wind up or a bit daft - Duffy is here to steady the ship on the park and get us to compete. We have a extremely low budget to work with and after selling our joint top scorer on Thursday, as well as Jordan White going to Falkirk, we were always going to struggle (we did regardless in the striker department). Your manager using his brain to work out a fast winger like Boyle could rape our 36 year old left back for pace seems like the turning point going by David's post.

As I said, big game next week for us. Hopefully Gallagher is back and Brown shouldn't be too far away either. A striker wouldn't go amiss.

Caldwell is actually a great centre half however consistency can be an issue for him, technically his distribution of the ball for a defender is as good as Pique or Puyol.

How are Johnny Smart and Lloyd Young getting on for Montrose? I've always rated Young and hope he can come back and win back a place in the team.

What's happened to Clyde? Dropped off the pace a bit after a promising start i thought you were decent in the 2-2 game at the recs.

Wasn't there but I'm guessing that's Pat Scullion Posted Image Sausage Supper seems to be his nickname Posted Image (not my invention)

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

As said the first half truly was a non event. The 2nd Montrose took the bit between thier teeth and took the chances that fell thier way.

Boyle's pace has caused problems all season for defences this season. The idiots who were in the stand claiming that the first 2 goals were offside truly are something else. Thats the 2nd time this season they have blamed everyone from the ref, to our groundsman to the women selling the pies to why they got beaten instead of just admitting Clyde were rank rotten, one shot on target, a weak 12yd effort that Sandy Wood had enough time to check his emails, water the plants and go do his shopping in Tesco's before it actually reached him.

Woody coming back is an interesting one as it means we finally have a target man up front and when he came on, he started causing problems as the Clyde defence just didn't know what to do with him. Boyle & Johnston were again superb up front, the amount of running that pair do is immense. Thought the back 4 played decent enough, without really being troubled. You also knew that Winter would be having a goal yesterday as he was trying his luck at every oppertunity and what a peach it was.

I thought Mo did ok in the 1st half but couldn't convert due to sprinting at every ball. 2nd half was a combination of more focus from us and some absolutely shocking Clyde performances; Scullion in particular was absolutely stinking, rotten, foul etc

All in all I thought we did well and it's fantastic to get a clean sheet!

More detailed to follow....

Not a big fan of big pat but to be honest I thought he did ok at Annan last week. He's just NOT a defender.

It's back to the old "you can only play with what you've got"

Once players are fit I'm sure the optimism of the start of the season will return,Hopefully with another striker in the mix too.

Scullion was fine in the 1st half, shocking - like the rest of the team 2nd half.

Sharpe was the only one for me who displayed the right attitude and commitment all game. 36 or not, most defenders will struggle with the pace of Montrose number 9 who i thought was excellent.

Dont agree with the criticism of McDonald from David W. Most things that came up to him stuck, and he passed it on well, but he received very little and had no-one up with him.

Very dissapointed in Neill yesterday. I can forgive bad games, but he just didnt look bothered yesterday. Was always going to be 1st goal the winner yesterday, and when Montrose got their's through a fortunate deflection, they took great heart and ran out deserved winners. Thought their no's 6 & 9 were superb, and Winter's goal was a superb strike - even if he should have been closed down much quicker.

On the tackle that David mentioned - I was much closer acrosse from the stand, and McDonals actually slipped and fell into the Montrose player - if anything a foul for them - the ref only stopped it because McDonald let out a scream on initial impact.

Will give Fulton another look - always has his head up looking for a pass, but 9/10 yesterday they never reached their intended target.

Excellent summary above by David W of Clyde. Would be nit picking to disagree with any of it. The Mo are improving, no doubt about that, and they are capable of taking points off anybody in this league but still lack a bit of experience and confidence as demonstrated in the first half non event yesterday. Once (if) they get going though they can play some good stuff as per the second half when I thought they were excellent (in comparison with what we've endured on many occasions in the last 12m).

Clyde I think had injury problems yesterday (mind you so had we) but were certainly far too light weight up front. As an outsider looking in it's hard to see where you go from here and i hope you at least enjoy your days out at Div 3 venues because it might be a long haul unless a sugar daddy suddenly appears. Again, none of my business maybe but to stay much longer at Broadwood will surely just prolong the agony if, as I assume, you are not making any money from it. Clyde I would have thought need to be in control of their own destiny even if it more or less means taking over or merging with a smaller club to develop their facilities. Even that would be a long haul but at least progress would be being made.

Finally I wonder how much longer Jim Duffy will want to stay there if there are no signs of progress off the field. He must be getting to the point of thinking he has taken the club as far as he can on the field. Good luck anyway.

We have a decent First 11 when all fit and not serving a suspension .. Outwith that remainder of our squad probable not up to standard tho when your paying peanuts ..

At the moment we've got Brown (RB) Gallacher (CB) Out injured and have been for a few weeks,Sweeney(CM) Suspended and missed yday game and losing probably our best forward Cusack to Cowdenbeath doesnt help either..

Hoping JD/CC can talk nice to a few clubs and maybe get a player or two on loan who can score goals with Money from Cusacks transfer fee or maybe use the doe to errrect a few signs inside the staidum to remind the Boo.boys were fkn SKINT and until we leave broadwood and its rent the club will continue to struggle on and off the park

Absolutely delighted with the outcome on Saturday.

I thought the 1st half was a bit huff and puff and we maybe lacked a bit of composure in the first half. We were possibly too hungry/quick to win the 1st balls; as such the ball wouldn't sit up for us. We played the better football and I don't think Clyde could have been aggreived to go in a goal down.

In the 2nd half we came out of the traps with Boyler deployed on the flank and he provided real width by hugging the touchline and the clyde def/midfield struggled to cope with being pulled out of position so much. Boyles hard work generated two goals which knocked the stuffing out of Clyde and from there they completely capitulated; unable to string a pass together and the defence simply clearing their lines and inviting wave after wave of attack from a rampant Mo who were clearly enjoying their football. I was annoyed to see 2 goals ruled out; how Boyle could be offisde when two Clyde defenders were trying to clear it off the line is beyond me and Scotty Johnstone had a lino call the ball over the byline when the whole ball was in.

Step up Jamie Winter; his first free kick was brilliantly saved by Crawford onto the post but the 3rd goal (as Steve says) was liquid football with good pass and move giving Clyde no chance of getting near Jamie Winter who has a foot like a traction engine when he can set himself up. Incredible; BOOM. Again we were ripping Clyde to pieces and Maccas drive put Crawford in two minds and by the time he made his mind up he had deflected it into his own net. Game Shot, and the match.

Thought in the 1st half Jonny Crawford was head and shoulders above everyone on the park but second half you couldn't fault anyone. Boyler had a great impact down the right, Johnstone was outstanding, Masson and Cameron picked up a lot of slack allowing Jamie to get forward and Garry Wood had a great contribution. I think GW will win us a lot of free kicks and if we have Winter on the park it could make a big difference to our season. We have been screaming out of a scoring midfielder for a very long time and Jamie is capable of this.

The hard work starts next week though; we have struggled away from home and we do need to start sticking wins together rather than sporadically. We do seem to be playing with confidence and scoring goals but we have been slack at the back with only the odd clean sheet here and there. We have scored as many goals as the guys in the playoffs, just need to sort it out at the back!

mon the mo we have had only one clean sheet this season coming on saturday and have now scored in 18 consecutive games nearly the best record in britain the signings of wood and young shows what ray and his staff are striving for a play off spot maybe what you think ? when we take 3 points on saturday we will start jumping up the leauge and back to your point if we were able to defend at the start of the season we would be up there challenging away the mo
