It's Thursday night and no thread yet - haven't missed it have I? I know we Mo fans are a bit slow but C'mon you Clyde lads it's not like you. Hear you might have a new face or two. Should be a decent game and about time you won at LP. We are unpredictable but the signs are that we are improving and capable of taking points of anybody given the chance. Still a few injury worries for the Mo but our small squad has done reasonably well recently.

Hope Clyde bring a few to LP as we could do with the revenue and we've had some decent (and indecent) banter in the last few games.

We have a dire strike force of McDonald and Archdeacon and have 1 win in 10.

Montrose to win to nil, probably 1-0

Caldwell is actually a great centre half however consistency can be an issue for him, technically his distribution of the ball for a defender is as good as Pique or Puyol.

I'll be a bit more optimistic and go for 0-0.

Is Sweeney still suspended? Pat Scullion v Jamie Winter would be a good sumo wrestling match up in the middle of the park.
We are a team, of fame and fortune.

Straight red for violent conduct - 3 games I think?

In England.

Think Scotland changed to 2 matches during the summer there - he's definitely out of this game either way.

Regarding a team selection, much will depend on Gallagher and Brown's availability. Either way, I'd have McDonald up top with Kane and Neill either side of him. Midfield has to contain Hay, Oliver and one other (Gray or Scullion). Back four will be solid whatever we go with.

Fancy Clyde to sneak it in what I expect will be a tight game.

Gary Wood up front will help Montrose tomorrow. Hopefully this weekend we will take our chances.

Sounds very familure..

Even with Dale Fulton who I think will go into the centre of midfield, McDonald and Archdeacon..

Can see Neill getting pushed up to partner McDonald or sit just behind him. I'd try something like:

Crawford
Gray Marr McQueen Sharp
Kane Fulton Hay Oliver
Neill
McDonald

Said last week on the OS big Dec could be fit, wonder how the team will line up if that happens?.
Possibly the above with Marr in the middle of midfield with Fulton replacing Kane,
Think Neil will play up front as he scores goals.

Has Marr ever played in midfield before? I don't see it myself; he's a great last ditch defender. That said, on the SFL site it says he's a doubt with an injury.

I'd like to see Oliver play more centrally than Chrisy has suggested above. He's no great shakes out wide but is composed enough to get his head up and keep the ball when played more centrally.

I'd rather have Oliver up front than Archdeacon to be honest

Have heard the Montrose ground staff are working on the pitch to get it playable for today. No word if an inspection is required though

We have a problem most times it is hard frost as the area in front of the stand recieves no sun, resulting in that area struggling to thaw. Our game in December vs QP was cancelled for this reason so would not be surprised if that were the case today as it is still white out.

I think it's a week too early, Declan may make the bench but I'd be surprised if Brown recovers as quickly.
