I was going to buy a new laptop last year but put it off and so have taken plunge now. I wanted an i7 processor, separate graphics card and a full HD screen (1920 x 1080) so the choices boiled down to a Dell XPS15, a Medion Erazer 6811 or an Asus N55SF. On like for like specs, the Dell was the most expensive but seemed to have better build quality etc. according to reports and the best sound system.
Anyway, on Tuesday I went on the Dell site and specced up and bought a machine to include the above plus Blue Ray reader, TV tuner and few other goodies. The site announced I was making savings against list price of £446 if I bought by yesterday. What they did not say was that today there's a new offer and exactly the same machine would have cost me £120 less!

Too late, it has already shipped, despite the website saying custom built machines take 7-8 working days. Obviously when they are going to do something like this, the manufacturing process speeds up!
