I'm Back Bitches!

With the weather to be decent this week i decided to crawl out of my festive hole and get back into the swing of things. No more rain forecast until after saturday at least, means hopefully a full round of fixtures can be played this weekend.

Potts Cup 1st Round
Heston Rovers v Threave Rovers- Like many sides this week, both will be rusty after a lengthy christmas break. Always hard to see past Threave as they are a formidable force in the league but Heston are no minnows and i feel that whoever has the fitness edge in the last 20mins will decide the outcome of the tie.

Creetown V Nithsdale Wanderers- Creetown have been struggling this season, start of a new calendar year could be the fresh start they need but Nithsdale will be favourites here as they have already played a game this year which should give them the advantage to go on and win.

Stranraer V Dalbeattie Star- Excellent first round tie as Dalbeattie always find it tough when travelling to Stranraer. Like Nithsdale, Dalbeattie have the advantage of having played a match already this year and with that they should go on and win the tie.

Potts Cup 2nd Round
St Cuthbert Wanderers v Mid Annandale- I feel this one will be close at the start but if Saints can get the train moving they will steam on and win the tie. If they leave it too long, Mids will punish them and could sneak the tie.

South Of Scotland League
Fleet Star V Abbey Vale- Both teams on the losing end of matches last week and will be looking to make amends this week by coming away with 3pts. Fleet will be trying to put some more space between themselves and the bottom but Vale can use this to kick start another winning streak and work their way back uop the table.

Wigtown & Bladnoch V Crichton
- Both teams locked on 5pts and hovering just above the bottom spot. It could be argued that they are both underachievers this year as they are sitting surprisingly low in the league. As for the game itself i feel that Wigtown will win by a narrow margin, but at the end of the day, what do i know? Crichton could win 5-0.

Peace out.

I'd expect it would just be swapped to CD. Canny see threave wanting a backlog of fixtures.
