Spartans vs Whitehill Welfare
KO 3pm
Ainslie Park.

***have the bbc match of the day tune going on in your head as you read this***

It's all getting very exciting, everyone who comes to the home of the League Champions wants to beat us because we are The Team to beat & so every match is like a Cup Final BUT this Saturday is extra special.

Whitehill are the pretenders to the throne & are no doubt smarting from last weeks loss, their need for points is far greater than ours, not that we won't fight tooth & bootnail for the 3.

Last week against the Vale we actually started off like we normally finish, dashing in top gear. I hadn't even taken to my luxury pre-heated seat before we went & scored.

I see it as a war of good vs evil, Spartans the slick City clean living boys in white vs the dirty dark satanic mill town boys from the wrong side of the tracksuits. But how do you see it?

So it's basically down to who do you think should be victorious, good or bad?

C'mon you boys in WHITE.

Get in early, it's going to be massive, see you down there!

Enjoy!

Wouldn't like to make a prediction Col, I'm not sure there'll be many goals in it but it'll be a proper battle both sides have pace & flair, I'd probably settle for a draw right now?

In the other game it's half time & we are 1 nil down, 90 minutes left to score 2 goals, I can see it happening! Wember-ley Posted Image

I'm at the hairdressers on Saturday & Mr Alphonso runs a very tight ship & can only squeeze me in at 1.30pm so after I've had the full works off her, (it takes 1 hour) so the ko as had to put to 3pm so I can arrive on time, you know we always score with in the 1st 5 minutes these days.

I didn"t see the WW game last week but by all accounts Lothian deserved their win, not the result they were expecting after trying so hard to make sure the game went ahead to relieve their suspended players, McAulley wont be happy.

Went a long to a cold and windy fisherow last night to watch Whitehill Welfare vs Gala considering the conditions i felt it was not such a bad game with the final score being 2-1 to the premier side. Whitehill went 1-0 up after the Gala defence stood off the boy McIntosh and he thumped home from the edge of the area then after a string of fantastic saves from Turnbull Gala scored the goal of the game after a move from the wide area starting with Glass then a tidy little touch from Rossi and a fantastic finish from Brunton. Gala held their own after that playing some neat football in a strong wind. I missed the Second Whitehill goal but a friend said it was heavily wind assisted, maybe a tad bias i dont know. Then the game stopped for a long period due to a dog playing chicken with the Gala goalkeeper ( love of a public park ) decent match with tackles flying about everywhere as well. Good run out from the borders boys on a very bobbly pitch. I am sure Whitehill must have had a few players missing or rested for the big weekend tie against spartans as i was expecting a little more from them, then again maybe it was just the premier league big boys not fancying it on a windy night.

Just make sure you get your hair cut and there early enough to get the red carpet rolled out Grim...the 15 times EoS Champions will be rolling into town!

On a side note...I hope you weren't responsible for one of those 11000 empty seats at Man City last night? Thoroughly enjoyed it in the away end, great result!

Yes I got the txt
the 3 things missing at City
1,'s a win
2.'s Kompany
&
3.'s a crowd!

It was all my fault BUT if you look at it from a recession point of view...

1. We've been in the Champions League.
2. We are still in the Europa League.
3. We were in the FA Cup.
4. We are still in the League Cup.

That's some matches to get to eh?

Oh & we are going to win the EPL with Spurs in 2nd place!

The red carpet awaits... But some will be going back to Rosewell Blue! Posted Image

We don't always get it right.

Last week it was

Stirling Uni to win 20

draw = 2

Strollers to win = 1 ( broon's prediction)

:)

Feel free to bookmark this.

Whitehill will win.

Option extra. It will be by at least two goals.

No matter the scoreline tomorrow, neither tram will have won the league or lost the game. There is a long long way to go in this season yet. Best in years.

Just for the record, WW have 19 players of whom 1 is out on loan (Tansey) and another 2 are expected to go away travelling shortly.
McIntosh is suspended tomorrow. Thom has been out injured long term (hence the loan of Jamie Burstow), may be ready but would not be risked AFAIK.

I had to have surgery this week (detached retina for info for all my mates) and the website is out of date with regard to the squad.
My time online is limited, I should be lying on my back for 10 days. Sadly I'll be missing tomorrow and for a week or two after.
Good luck to the WW guys tomorrow and hope it's a good game.
