My beloved Ladeside are rooted to the bottom of the league and look certainties for the drop, we need answers, changes must be made, why have all our heroes left? I can understand Erskine, Anderson & Longworth stepping up and making a name for themselves in the seniors, but to then be followed this season by more than half of our first team to others in the same league as us is ridiculous! We are getting haunted almost every week by the likes of McGuinness, Kinney or McGregor to name only 3 of them. No disrespect to them at all, they have left what appears to be a sinking ship! I will always support the Blasties but it's extremely frustrating watching them get trounced and ship an average of 3 goals per game! What is it that we the fans are not seeing? Where do we turn, has it gone stale for Tommy and Digger, Craig Feroz certainly wasn't the answer! Wee Monty has a lot on his young shoulders if he's expected to keep getting the goals and try to keep us up! Come on kilbirnie before it's too late!! Tommy and Co done well to get us back to where we should be, but let's be honest the real guys that got us there have all gone now and we are heading back down the way, something has to change and quick!!

i play with 2 lads who were at kilbirnie at start of season and could easily do a job for them just now from what i hear. theres something about kilbirnie that i think they will turn it round, i dont know why but i do. Too big of a club to be anywhere else.

I'm sure things will turn around but from a personal and purely selfish perspective I hope the slump continues for about another 10 days! 😉

Tbh, (and it pains me to say this) in recent times I've been fairly impressed by K*lbirnie.

Can't understand why they're doing so badly in the league. Hopefully things will pick up and we'll (possibly) be allowed to watch another Beith Kilbirnie match that isn't played behind closed doors. Despite the neds trying to spoil things, it's always a cracking game.

The 1st half of this season hasn't been to good to be honest at times dreadful. But its basicly a whole new team thats on the park which is going to take time to gel. The game on Saturday against Ashfield was the happiest av felt after a game this season (and this including the 8-2 game against Cumnock). The reason for that is for the 1st time this season I actualy thought we looked like a team. The players were talking to each other a lot more and looked as if they cared about the result. Tommys brought in a lot of young players who need minutes on the park to gain a bit of experience. I think we might have left a bit late this year to save us from going down but if we can keep the same team plus buying another striker a think theres a good chance that we can come straight back up.

I enjoy going to visit the Blasties and i really hope they can pull off a miracle two seasons in a row. Great club with a fine tradition and some nice guys who follow them. All is not lost though, there are still a few teams looking over their shoulder knowing a couple of defeats and they will be sucked into the battle. Best of luck.

Nah he was started the game at the weekend aswell in a sort of centre mid holding role. Had a decent game and made the keeper pull of a good save from about 40 yards. Wat position did he play for u's?

Right back was mainly his positon when he played for us but never felt he looked comfortable.

He was a good passer of the ball on his day and could take a cracking free kick but was never consistant enough.

saturdays performance has certainly given me hope and speaking the players after the game it gave me even more hope.. for first time this season we looked pretty good and if it was not for there keeper in first half we.d of been up 3 or 4 nil.. the players after the game were fired up and adamant we.ll stay up. thats first ave heard them speak out all season..to add to that the management looked right up for it.. ave been very let down with passion from certain players but it did look to me that saturdays team wanna play for the shirt a lot of dig and some good awareness at times.. last season it was later than this when we kicked on and that started with a draw as well. the same fight the rest of the season and at least if we go down it.ll be with a fight..too many have lay the blame at our managers door and to be honest ave had a few digs myself but never at the game and its not all his fault certain players hit the road for a few extra bob.. fair to say a lot of our fans have let the team down as well by throwing in the towel and not showing up.. come on guys yous know who yous are for feck sake you support your team through the good and bad!!!!! mon the side :D :D

on another note i.d like to point out what a really poor support from ashfield.. about 9 fans!!! and folk are against regional leagues.. even lugar and the like could muster up more than that............
when yi meet a blastie he.ll shake yi by the haun

The encouraging sign that I see from the Ladeside support is that you are not all bemoaning the fact that you have a right to be in the top league without battling relegation.
How different from another team who think they have a god given right to be at the top for ever and ever. Who detest the present dominence of Talbot, Meadow and the recent success of Beith.

I hope you get it together and survive, as Ladeside is a name alongside Meadow and Talbot. No matter what you will recover and at least you are not condemning the efforts of your management team.

my heart goes out to you mate after reading that
take comfort in the fact that we have a hard working committee doing everything possible to keep us up
but if we go down, then we go down
no team has a divine right to play in the top division

I know what you are saying, i'm not claiming a divine right, just frustrated! Tommy and Digger have a wealth of experience between them and i'm sure they are as frustrated as me. Just hate seeing my team in such a struggle, Tommy always unearths a gem or two, so far it taking more time than usual, we have seen several come and go already this season, we've lost Callan Adam who was a good pedigree, Feroz was top scorer at rob roy last year but couldn't buy a goal for us, also we had the wee guy from Dalry at the start of the season and he got disillusioned at the vale, what about John Bradford, he was banging them in pre-season and looked the part but was allowed to go to Girvan instead? but players to pollock, to Clydebank, to Petershill, to Irvine medda all in the one pre-season was a hard one to swallow, it makes it look like there may be problems behind the scene that we are not seeing?? maybe not, but it's a far cry from the battles we had when we could hold our own against the likjes of Beith, Medda, Pollock, bring back the glory days, pleeeze!!

No club is too big to go down. Ask Cumnock, Glenafton Athletic and Kilwinning Rangers in recent years in the west, I'm sure there are other examples in other regions.
