Most clubs willing to loan players out now insist on the other club making a contribution to wages. Queen's won't do that, so our supply has dried up. How well off are your club for loan players? I remember that Arbroath had half a team of them a couple of years back when they were doing well in the Third.

We've been more than usual this season and to be honest, take away Love they have been pretty much the best players at the club. So far (from the top of my head) we have had Callum Antell and Lewis Horner (Hibs), Craig Winters (Cowdenbeath), Michael Hunter & Stuart Love (Stenhousemuir) and Bradley Coyne (St.Mirren). I would also expect 1 or 2 more before the end of the season. I'm not sure if we have contributed towards the wages or not, i'm guessing we haven't as we are pretty much paying the players nothing by all accounts anyway.

Shire seem to have managed a keeper on loan at least once a season for the past 25 seasons.
Berwick have generally been utter shite when it's came to loans since the championship winning season. Stenny practically became our parent club under Crease.
Currently we have Ross Gray on our books from Livi, and he's quite easly been the best we've had on loan since then

I'm actually against the idea of loan players in principal and feel clubs should first and foremost be playing the players that have signed on the dotted line and committed themselves to the club,
If first team guys are struggling for form or are out through injury or suspension then the club should promote one or two of their youth players and give them an opportunity to sample first team action.
In short I believe every club in every division should be limited to a maximum of 2 loan player per season.

I'd prefer 2 loan players at one time.
We had Mentel on loan from Dundee Utd but that's it. We've had tonnes over the previous two seasons, mostly from PTFC.

Certainly over the last few years. Take away John Hillcoat, who only lasted a few months, I think Darren Hill was our last signed First Choice Goalkeeper, although we have had Greig Mitchell, Gavin Sorely and others who have signed but sat on the bench. Callum Antell, Michael Andrews, Jamie Barclay, Mark Peat, Garry O'Connor and Mark Brown have been our number 1's over the last 5 seasons and they have all been on loan.

We've had two this season, Mark Durnan from St Johnstone, now on loan at Elgin and Scott Taggart from Hibernian. Word is we are trying to get Taggart back, which I hope happens.
Elgin have got a pretty solid centre bakc in Mark Durnan.

Ouch.
Painful scoreline in his debut for the black and whites , assuming Mark played the full game?
