Well, that's a shock result, certainly of terms of what most people anticipated.

We're only halfway there, but what odds would you have got before the tournament started on a Zambia v Mali final?

Just turned on ITV4 for the semi final and the stadium is empty Posted Image has it been like this all tournament?

Yep, except for the games featuring Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. I think it's the usual case of tickets being far too expensive for locals to afford.

Taken from Wikipedia, these are some examples of the shocking attendances:

GrA... Libya v Zambia 1,500

GrB... Ivory Coast v Sudan 5,000 ... Sudan v Angola 2,500 ... Ivory Coast v Burkina Faso 4,000 ... Sudan v Burkina Faso 132 :o ... Ivory Coast v Angola 1,500

GrC... Niger v Morocco 4,000

GrD... Ghana v Botswana 5,000 ... Botswana v Guinea 4,000 ... Ghana v Mali 7,000 ... Ghana v Guinea 5,500

Quarter-Finals... Zambia v Sudan 200 :o ... Ghana v Tunisia 8,000

Remember also that the first 2 matchdays in the group-stage were played as double-headers!!

They got half an SFL3 crowd for a continental finals tournament QF.

'Mon the Zambia! :D
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.
Die, die, die....I can't

Ivory Coast all over Mali in the first 20 minutes, they have hit the bar twice. Still 0-0 though.

Ivory Coast feigning injury at every opportunity. Disgusting. Gervinho scored before HT and it's still 1-0. He ran from the half way line completely unchallenged and finished it nicely.

Mali don't look like scoring and haven't really created any chances. Where's Freddie Kanoute when you need him!

Dreadful defending to let Gervinho run all that way, to be honest. Still 1-0 with a couple of minutes of normal time left.

Very disapointed with the tournament so far and the keepers are getting better :(

The Futsal on Eurosport has been more exciting than this.

Zambia for the Cup!

Only 10 mins to kick off. On ITV 4 and Eurosport.

It would be nice to see Zambia win, especially with this game being in Gabon.

How cool does the Zambia manager look.

Got a fiver on Zambia. I have been impressed with them so far in the tournament, especially Kalaba(?).

Zambia have been the better side in the first half. They have moved the ball well and quickly when needed - showboating sometimes. They've had a couple of chances and Barry pulled off a good save early on.

Yaya Toure has had the best chance though where he should have scored.

I thought IC were slightly better but it's been a poor game so far. Agree about the Yaya Toure miss.

Christ I didn't even notice Kalou was playing.

Zambia 13/2 just now. Might have a wee punt on them, they look most likely to win right now.
