Most of the big guns avoid each other. Having played Ferniside last season I think Hurlford look good to progress to set up possible tie of the round v Wellhouse.

9-0 !! ha ha.. we were well beat. Fernie did very well to get that far in the cup.

But Hurlford are a very good amateur team, one of the best of the amateurs team I have ever played against. We did well to keep it under double figures.. ha ha.

Dont knowwhat Wellhouse are like, but expect a very tough game against Hurlford.

Think he scored a hat trick in the first half and was taken off at HT.. They were going easy on us... ha ha..

Cracking player and surely he should be playing at a higher level, obviously getting paid a lot of money to stay there

This was some result ! But did Wellhouse have all their players available ? Did they have any players sent off ?
I ask because after I watched them beating Colville Park in a cup game some months ago, I posted on the other Scottish Cup thread, that I fancied Wellhouse, Hurlford, and Colville to be in the very latest stages of the cup. While the draw ensured that this wouldn't happen, I'm surprised, to say the least, at this score.
If both sides had their best players available, then Hurlford must be some outfit !

Incidentally, Whitefield Rovers won their game yesterday and now face Colville Park in the next round. The Saturday morning team have done very well to reach this stage, but I'll be very surprised ( again ! :P ) if they can get a result against Colville .

Chuckles we had centre half and striker missing although that's no excuse for how bad we were. Nil nil ht but hurlford still better team in first half we feel as if we should have had a penalty in the build up to there first goal but ref wasn't strong enough to give the penalty and it enraged our player so much that he ended up sent off for abusing the ref so much. The better team won and hopefully we get a grip for the game down there in the west cup... Oh and a strong referee not intimidated by the side of the park would be good as well.

I think that having the regular centre half and striker missing would upset the balance of any team... add in having a man sent off, and you're going to struggle !
It will certainly make for a more interesting game in the West, if you start with your regulars and manage to keep all your players on the park.
I might just try and take this game in and I'd appreciate it if you could maybe post any info re venue, KO time etc.

Meantime, thanks for the reply and all the best for the rest of your season . :)

I heard that Colville had most of the play, but Whitefield had a couple of good chances.
