Yeah i got it aswell,would only let me put £6.75 on so i never bothered but a good deal

Having had a rant at betfred customer services this offer went live at 11am and was taken down at 11.02 am aparently, during which time the website also crashed

Fred saying over 200 people got on in under 2 mins,dont think its that good of a bet,first leg of a semi final are notorious low scoring affairs(cue the 6 all draw )

Its not a great bet but if you got your £20 on and laid on betfair you have a risk free bet to win £20 or a guarenteed £9 quid, do that everyday for the next £10 and theres a nice bit of cash to be made

Surely they should be re-opening the bet if it was only up for a couple of minutes and the site crashed?

I hadn't even thought about laying the outcome on another site...might open a betfair account in preparation for the Man City game tomorrow.

They'll need better servers for that game though.

They are claiming the crash occured after they closed the offer, which i dont believe it did, i think the crash was caused by the offer. Anyway there not risking much of a liability here are they a 6/5 shot which they pump out to 5/2 and are willing to take £20 from 190 people!

What? They said it was open for a "limited period of time" so it's not to do with the amount of people who used it, or are you just speculating?

Thanks everyone for the feedback on our Bet of the Day promotion. It has been very popular and exceeded our expectations which unfortunately resulted in a few teething issues.
We created this concept as a bit of fun to make your/our mornings a little more exciting and give a few lucky punters a really stand out offer that simply could not be found elsewhere. If we were to make sure every person who fancied that price got on, I’d soon go out of business, so we had to offer the price on a first come, first served basis.

The prices offered as part of this campaign are so generous that there is simply no way we could offer them for long – the challenge is to get to the site and get your bet on, but there are no guarantees that your bet will be successfully placed. Today’s market was live for just 4 minutes which shows just how popular the offer was.

Over 200 players took the offer up on Monday, with another 170 players getting on today. These players were simply lucky enough to have their bets successfully processed on time and there is nothing more to it than that. Additionally, 174 players whose bets werenot successfully placed on Monday due to a separate technical issue, had their attempted bets honoured, despite no stake being taken.
Having said that, we could make changes that would mean that more people have an opportunity to get on. So, please vote below and we will happily take your feedback into full consideration and do our best to make sure that you get what you want as our loyal and valued players.

Maximum only £10 and I was allowed £2.50 on so didn't bother, this is just a waste of time and makes them look shit. They would be better off putting a first goalscorer or something on for an additional few points.
