I'd imagine this should be on - when I left for work at 7.30 there was little/no frost on the ground

Can't see there being any problems, no frost at all.
Little brown boy, the other side of the world....
He was born on a line many thousand year long, many more thousand to be
They survived on tradition, not wealth and position
Sounds pretty simple to me....

Our defense are very lucky to have kept a clean sheet, if it wasn't for the laughably bad attempts at finishing by Brechin we'd have been buried by half time. Ref and linesmen were appalling and let some shocking fouls go. The fact that the Brechin number 4 had to be subbed off after 30 minutes to avoid getting sent off says it all, though there were plenty of other wild tackles mainly by players in red. The Brechin number 4 should probably have walked, at least for two yellows, prior to being subbed and clearly Weir knew that. We were desperately unlucky not to score from those corners in the second half and Brechin had loads of chances, particularly first half. Not a classic to watch by any means. I hate Agnew or Gilhaney on pens, it should be someone who'll belt them rather than try to place them, thankfully we scored the rebound.

I like this not playing well for the majority of the game yet winning lark, Agnew should never have took that penalty he was rotten today and I wasn't exactly filled with confidence when he went to take it. Was it Prunty who hit the bar from what looked about 2 yards out and Nelson made a great save to tip a header onto the bar. Ref and Linesmen as have been said made some truly awful decisions, advantage in some situations where there really wasn't any and just some terrible freekick decisions throughout. Nugent is better than Finnie no idea why he didn't start and Nicoll put in some shift today, not without his flaws but at times seemed like himself and Lithgow were the only ones trying to put a tackle in.

I actually quite enjoyed that game...end to end stuff....did we just shade it? not sure

big no4 for Brechin was a lucky man...despite being John Rowbotham's twin. do professional fouls no longer merit red cards?????

i thought the defense was good in 2nd half......only time McManus got the ball he was offside. Like the look of your Finnie...made a few errors which is to be expected for such a young player, but was prepared to go up and down the wing, and covered across to the left when required

good performance from Kevin Nicholl...but as has been said already, I thought Agnew had a bit of a stinker....missing penalty pretty much summed up his afternoon

I do wonder though about our persisting with a 4-4-2. Brechin bossed the midfield esp in 1st half. No6 was excellent. We seem to have a huge gap at times between the midfield and the 2 strikers...and when we playing 2 wingers we are leaving Nicholl and Agnew exposed a lot

all in all though...HAPPY!!!

I must have been at a totally different game. IMO it was a great game, good end to end stuff. We weren't perfect by any means but I think ppl need to take a reality check. We are a second Div team and will make mistakes at times.

The young boy Finnie had a great game as did Agnew, some of his passes today were outstanding yes he is a lightweight in midfield but thats what Nicol is there for.

Credit has to go to Adamson as well for making the right subs at the right time. Just as the City defence was tiring on comes Pat and Ryan to run at them.

Ref and assistants were junk.

Some Dumbarton fans really need a big reality check. They are on the players back from the start, today one minute Nicol was crap the next a saint. The players can't do right from wrong with the Managers in the stands. At one point a "Fan" started to boo Its laughable that probably one of our best performances of the season was still not good enough for some fans. Don' t get me wrong there are still some improvements to be made but still a lot to be proud of.

Also would be interesting to see what the attendance was today, looked busier than usual. If so wonder if we could trial having the game played earlier. Could be beneficial to everyone, the club still get the money from hospitality and could potentially save money on lights etc. Fans can get down and see the game then catch another Bigger team game and for the players it then gives the time to get home a rest then can go out for the night.

He wasn't unstoppable as he has been in other games but some of his passing today was great spreading the ball left and right picking out mark and the new boy at number 6

Yes and also he contributed to a team that WON today. Why must you look at the negative?

I'm not being negative, just stating my opinion that Agnew didn't have a "great game". You tried to put your opinion across that he had a great game as he made a couple of good passes. But that just means he made some good passes ..not a great game.

Agnews passing today was not great unless you consider playing the ball square, backwards and trying to make 'world cup' passes which were constantly intercepted by the opposition as 'spreading the ball left and right'. Agnew is a luxury player who is only good for free kicks at the edge of the box.
His work rate is poor, he couldn't tackle a fish supper and I wish he was as good a player as he thinks he is.

Must have watched a different game from the rest of you, I thought it was an appalling spectacle. Referee and linesmen were awful. Brechin controlled the midfield but things just weren't happening upfront.
Oooooh Garry Brady....

That was the worst I have seen Aggy play, Finnie was quite good, he is pretty rapid, made some mistakes though, Lamont was very good so was Gils and Nicoll was good. I don't know what was up with Aggy today that was definitely his worst game especially second half. But anyway mon eh sons promotion play-offs here we come :)

Spot on. I agree with your post entirely. I thought it was a great match with good end to end stuff. Some of our fans in the back of the stand need to get a reality check, at one point we could not go forward but passed it back between them and eventually to Grindlay - we kept possession and stopped Brechin from getting the ball. Surely the object of the game is top stop the opposition from scoring and hopefully creating a goal ourselves - which we did. If the game had ended in a draw I would not be disappointed
