Son's v Hedgemen
Just played once so far this season in the league, a 3-3 draw in Angus, Son's 2-0 up at half time
(also the 3-0 Cup win for Brechin)
Brechin 4 th v Dumbarton 6th, just two points seperating the clubs, albeit with Sons having a game in hand.
All very close in Division Two, so all points are vital
Dumbarton in ok Form, good win v Arbroath , draw v Cowden Should have beaten Forfar (93rdminute equaliser), but lost to a good Albion side
Brechin in fine form, wins v Forfar, Albion and Aidrie and a draw v Arbraoth
Prediction : could go either way, Brechin must fancy their chances, Sons must keep the defence tight.

Yet again it will come down to how our defence performs. We concede far too easily at times and Brechin have players that will punish us. With Prunty and Walker getting on the score sheet last week I think we'll start with those 2 up front and hopefully they can fire us to the 3 points.

Brechin on a good bit of form at the moment so they will be right up for this one. We really need a big performance from our defence if we are to take anything from this.
Ramage bagged 3 for the 19's i noticed, surely due at least a shot from the bench.

Could be quite the interesting one with Brechin doing well recently and us getting the win against Arbroath last week. Agnew freekick and a Pat Walker last minute winner, 2-1 Sons
Grindlay
Nugent Lithgow Wallace (preferably McNiff) Creaney
Gilhaney Agnew Nicoll Lamont
Prunty Walker

I would start with the same side that started against St Johnstone. Possibly Crawford in for Fusco, but I thought it was a nice balance between him and Hodge down the left.
Nelson
McLean - McLaughlan - Dunlop - Hodge
McKenna - Molloy - Brady - Fusco
McManus - Lister
I feel the team is going from strength to strength and when you consider we have the likes of Buist, Moyes, Crawford, King and Weir not starting for various reasons, it's really hard to see why we're not higher up the league. That said, we're in very good form and with no disrespect to Dumbarton, They are one of the teams we have to be beating if we're going to make the playoffs. 2-0 City. McManus and Lister scoring.

We seem to have finally turned the corner with 3 wins on the trot so it is crucial we build on that with another positive result here. Will be interesting to see who Weir goes with in defence as he will likely to have all his defenders fit. Buist missed out at St Johnstone but will probably make Saturday's game. Moyes was carrying a slight knock on Saturday but like Buist will probably be fine for this one. Do we go for the tried and tested at centre back (Buist and Dunlop), the centre pairing that looked fairly solid against St Johnstone (McLauchlan and Dunlop) or do we re-unite last seasons pairing of Moyes and McLauchlan? I certainly wouldn't like to be in Weir's shoes having to make that decision.
Think midfield & attack almost picks itself at the moment with Hodge and McKenna on either wing with Brady and Molloy in the middle and Lister and McManus upfront.
Looking forward to the trip and I'll be travelling in relatively high hopes of getting a win. It's certainly the most confident I've been heading into an away game this season, cue an absolute horror show now!

Grindlay
Nugget Lithgow Mcniff (if not fit then Wallace) Creaney
Gils Aggy Nicoll/Wallace Lammont
Prunty Graham
With Pat fulfilling the Super-sub role.

Nothing on the OS so my guess would be no. Davie Winters clearance seemed to take an age to come through as well so it may be next week before Gastal is available.

I suppose it's a wait and see scenario. It's a difficult situation for Adamson I feel as we don't really know how good Gastal is and if he opts for putting him straight in the side it will tell Grindlay all he needs to know about Adamson's confidence levels in him. Grindlay has pulled off some good saves this season but at the same time doesn't seem to fill the defence with confidence.

Damage to floodlights being the reason. Apparently the SFL insisting on the 1:30pm start time.

This could be interesting; if it is a murky, dank day then it could be pretty dark around 3.15pm/3.20pm

Should be fine if the K/O is half one. This is a welcome wee one-off novelty as far as I'm concerned. Be intersting to see what effect (if any) it has on the attendance. I also feel much more inclined to take a donner along to the Trust AGM now as well if it remains at the advertised time.
East Fife players were said to be "covered in chicken tikka and potatoes" after a fracas in the cafeteria during an Irish Sea crossing.

Bugger, that means getting out my pit earlier and also half an hour less drinking time seeing as the bus has only been brought forward an hour!

If I was a Brechiner I can't say I'd be best pleased. For myself i'm quite happy with the early start but I think the attendance could take a hit.
Are all the floodlights out or is it just a few damaged bulbs?

"Our floodlights took the brunt of the storm, and as a result most if not all of the heads on each pylon are now out of alignment. Added to that is the news that the lamps contained within are also needing replaced."
From the OS.
