Langholm Legion 1-3 Selkirk Victoria

The Vics started brightly and forced a number of set pieces early on. They opened the scoring after ten minutes when Ryan Pritchard out-jumped the Langholm keeper to head into an empty net. Chances were limited for the remainder of the half but Selkirk went in 2-0 up at half time thanks to Michael Romanes' strike from the edge of the box which dipped into the top corner.

Langholm pulled a goal back a couple of minutes into the second half and Selkirk had to withstand a fair amount of pressure for the following 15 minutes with Jamie Lyall making a couple of good saves in the Vics goal. Both teams started to tire towards the end and Selkirk killed the game off with ten minutes to go. Bruce Mekeracher slotted the ball past the keeper from just outside the box to seal a deserved win.

Langholm's best player was number 12. All the best for the rest of the season.
