4. Semi Pro
5. Singles

I prefer soundtracks that use actual songs, rather than songs made for a film. Tarantino is the best at it IMO. The Kill Bills have some cracking soundtracking as well.

This would probably be my top 5 with Singles traded for Trainspotting, only because I haven't seen Singles otherwise it'd be up there.

I have two hours until I need to pick my girlfriend up from work I may "acquire" Singles and watch it tonight.

1. "Would?" Alice in Chains
2. "Breath" Pearl Jam
3. "Seasons" Chris Cornell
4. "Dyslexic Heart" Paul Westerberg
5. "The Battle of Evermore" (live Led Zeppelin cover) The Lovemongers
6. "Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns" Mother Love Bone
7. "Birth Ritual" Soundgarden
8. "State of Love and Trust" Pearl Jam
9. "Overblown" Mudhoney
10. "Waiting for Somebody" Paul Westerberg
11. "May This Be Love" The Jimi Hendrix Experience
12. "Nearly Lost You" Screaming Trees
13. "Drown" Smashing Pumpkins

I know simply the songs doesn't mean it's a great soundtrack, it's about the placement of the songs but this is pure jizzums.

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

I was reading your post forehead and I had a glance over at your avatar.

I was hypnotised because I was listening to this song on Spotify at the same time. Tigger can fair jump to the beat. :D

Try it.

Oh Brother - I generally hate C/W music but the music in this film is just incredible

Still Crazy - brilliant comedy about a band reunion and original songs that are amazing.

Kismet - Borodin is such an awesome composer.

Clockwork Orange - I especially like the Walter/Wendy Carlos entropic piece and then of course there is the odd wee tune by Wolfgang Amamdeus.

As for the fifth I am undecided between My Fair Lady and Chariots Of Fire.

I'm going to get ripped for this, but a film with a fucker of a soundtrack is The Business.

Yes I know it has Danny Dyer and therefore it automatically isn't very good, but the music is pretty good. Everyone loves a bit of Blondie whether they admit it or not.

It wouldn't make my top five but I was watching Black Hawk Down and realised it has a great soundtrack. Clocked Faith No More, House of Pain, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots in there.

Purely on the basis of Bronson and Drive, Nicolas Winding Refn knows how to use the unoriginal score to great effect. Both have very good soundtracks - even if I don't actually like all the songs used - because the music enhances the viewing experience.

It just so happens that I've just finished a course on film music - and my mind is swirling with all sorts of wankerish academia I could put into this list, but I won't.

Yet I still have a pretty poor knowledge of films.

The best ones I've come across in no particular order.

Psycho - original score by Bernard Hermann
Star Wars - "original" score by John Williams (although R.Strauss, Mahler, Holst and Stravinsky may have opinions)
The Blues Brothers
Toy Story - original score by Randy Newman - although it has been a while since I've seen it I think it's pretty epic.
West Side Story - original score by Leonard Bernstein - I'll confess I haven't actually seen this film yet, but I have played the music many times and it's stunning music.

I actually think its quite a good movie. Danny Dyer has done some decent movies and I think the business and the football factory are the two best ones he's appeared in.

It's a great soundtrack though.

Totally agree. The Business is a decent film and the Soundtrack is fantastic.

My favourite song would be this.

Reminds me of GTA Vice City.
Beer You Are My Enemy,
Beer You Are my Friend,
My Mind Was Yours To Cloud,
And So My Heart Is Yours To Mend.

I love the music from The Big Country. Good film too..

This is a pretty well known song from one of my favorite films, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.
