Although I don't think we particularly set ourselves up to get a 0-0, that was us playing 2 up front!
The movement from our front two was really disappointing I thought. Mark Roberts was off the pace and McManus seemed out of sorts.
Can't understand why Wardlaw doesn't get a start in games like that. Our only outballs were into the channels and Wardlaw would be ideal chasing and harassing, he'd certainly have given Dodds a much tougher time of it.
Although it was only brief I liked the look of the new guy Dodd. Always kept possession and seemed pretty confident on the ball.
Still, it will all look much better next week once Stevo puts pen to paper...

Anyone who moans about it obviously has never been to Alloa, Cowdenbeath or Peterhead.
Somebody said there was plans for safe terracing to go in at TFS, is that true ?
Cant see it, safe terracing in our league is just concrete tho but in doing so would need us to either not open one or two stands with the size of crowds we get in this division....
The official safe terracing cost more money than the seats as far as I can gather too......
As for mention of plan B and another couple of players, agree we are a bench short of a real challenge but we have Compton there wasting away on two counts, If his head was right....I know a big IF.... but he wouldve been a useful bench player. There is much more of a chance of me starting in goals next week tho as seeing Compton in a Falkirk jersey again...

No mate, I was right next to the tape. Closest to the main stand. Best view in the house.

yeah we have been quite lucky this and last time weve been up that there have been two poor teams around us both times
airdrie and morton last time fair enuf we went down but it wasnt till the last day
and yourselves and raith this time
big period comming up actually ayr have alot of home games comming up between now and march if we asume no rescheduled games until then ayr only have 1 away game at ross county between now and when we next meet falkirk on league buisiness but we will be 3 games off the pace at this point with 3 tough midweek fixtures away to livi and partick and at home to ross county
im pinpointing this period as the most important in the seasion for me

Very nice stadium, decent bit of leg room (unlike Killie). Also pleasing to see that there were no empty stands. And it nicely amplified the occasional bit of noise from the Falkirk support.
Any plans to finish the fourth side?
Re the game, very dominating display from Falkirk and after 10 minutes I feared we could get pumped. However, apart from a scare or two our defence coped quite well, as did the very solid Falkirk defence with our sporadic attacks.

Unlikely - we only got the South Stand through the generosity of a benefactor (to be fair, he's just leasing it to the club) so there's no way we could come up with the cash - and the Cooncil have quite rightly said they've paid for enough (the main and North stands were a 50/50 JV between club and council).
There's no demand for it for Falkirk anyway even if we were in the SPL. In some ways it's a shame as, aside from anything else, building a 4th stand would create a good c12,500 venue for non-OF cup semis, minor internationals, etc. Easily reachable from both East and West. It would be even more soulless for Falkirk games though!

I also think you`ve missed a trick not having a bar somewhere in the nice new main stand where away fans can get a few pre-match beers when theres no pubs nearby.

Yep, we have a bar but for home support only(£5 for pie and a pint, also lets you in for a beer after the game). Nearest public bar is Pennies at the College/Falkirk market.

As for the game, we absolutely stole a point obviously, but it's been a while since we've been pish and actually got something from a game, so I'm going to take it.
Really liked the stadium, and didn't think I would, just a shame about the fourth side, but the three that are there look like fine places to watch a game of football from.
My day was made even better by having a comp ticket thrust into my hand by a generous Mrs Reid as I was counting out my £17.
Good day all round that!

We haven't been pushing it fully on the front foot since Pressley was given the job.
It's the reason we got relegated, it's the reason we stayed down last season, and it will be the reason we'll be a First Division club for as long as he hangs around
If theres one thing that get's on my nerve's about Pie and Bovril, its the amount of poster's who dont know how to use apostrophe's. So heres a lesson for you's - if in doubt, leave them out. I also hate 'of' instead of 'have' and piss-poor speeling. Its my own fault its been bugging me for a while, as I should of thought of pointing this out sooner. Proberly
