I can confirm that you're talking absolute, fucking rubbish.

Seriously, what do some people actually see at games?

I presume you're talking to me.

I 'll tell you what I didn't see....O'brien take up good positions to receive ball..O'brien take on the full back with any degree of confidence or hope of going past him to cross a ball into box, i could go on but i'll let you who thinks his is the only opinion that counts get a retort in.

My thoughts are in no way intended to take anything away from a good win yesterday achieved by a strong 2nd half performance by most of the players, but everytime i see a Ton game, O'brien does nothing except flatter to deceive..and i believe a lot of our supporters would agree with that assessment

I thought McGlynn's post match interview was fair enough this time. By the sounds of it he's hinting at playing our first half formation yesterday at Cappielow ('unfortunately we've shown our hand' he says). Well that'll do me fine, and with a rearranged defence and midfield and our first half forward line I reckon we can give Morton the shits. We're usually better away from home too.

Easy home win IMO. We can only strengthen our squad in the next week while Raith already exhausted all of their diddy picks in the hope of progressing in the cup. Unlucky.

Or so your team can get a vital 3 points but I can see what's more important to you.

PS your misuse of apostrophes annoys me.

Drop O'Brien - his teammates must be fed up by now with his general lack of ability. The fans sure are. His contribution yesterday was zero.

What? He's been one of our better players the whole season. Not up there with Tidser and Bachirou but certainly in the second tier!

Morton will likely have Evans back at right back and, depending on the cup draw, maybe another defender available. We will not line up as we did in the first half this week when Raith dominated. Rather we are more likely to line up as we were from mid way through the second half and ripping the pish out of Raith. Plus, of course, we will be on a pitch far more conducive to good football than Stark's tattie field.

A very winnable three points on Saturday and even allowing for Casa having another week's training under his belt.

There's no way we can drop Obri. Although at times he doesn't get to the bye line he runs at players and has been a lot more direct this season. He also does a lot of work tracking back. He frustrates the life out of me at times however I think when he's confident he is one of our most important players.

Still on an ecstasy trip from Saturday.

Withdrawal beckons, methinks. :)

Be an interesting tactical battle next Saturday as both managers saw what worked and what didn't at Starks Park. I wonder what McGlynn will do to counter the Morton of the second half on Saturday. Moore proved that he recognised where our first half performance was going wrong and changed the game at half time. McGlynn did not seem to be able to react to those changes from the touchline but maybe he will have something up his sleeve given a week to think about it.

I think we picked up a few knocks on Saturday so team selection be a bit problematic but I would expect Evans to come back in a right back and for us to stick with MacDonald/Campbell upfront.

Here's a prediction for you.... Casa WON'T start in this one despite the obvious success we had having the Clark/Baird/Casa layout correct. McGlynn is happy that his tactics (such that they are) work well enough for a side away from home where the onus is on the home side to attack and the away side counter when they can.

Add to that, the fact that our CB's are not quick enough (or even quick witted enough) to go head to head with anyone who can run the 100 meters in under two days and you can see plainly that we will be there in something resembling a 4-5-1 for most of the game. Should that be successful and the game remains level into the last quarter - I expect McG to punt Casa on and ask him to score or set up a goal in the hope of stealing three points.

An attacking - revenge seeking - end to end- display of silky football skills you WON'T see..... from EITHER side Posted Image

Stick on 0-0 draw.

P.S. and hopefully Mr Allan Walker has had a good long look in the mirror at himself and decided that he is, after all, a PROFESSIONAL footballer (at the moment) and will treat any future insults hurled his way with the 'rubber ear'.
Another season under the belt... going to be a long summer....

McGlynn has lost almost every tactical battle he's had with Moore, going back to his Stirling days in the 2nd division.

For this reason I can't see anything other than a home win on Saturday.

With Tidser and Bachirou back we have stumbled into a bit of form, without being all that brilliant.

Wasn't at the Dundee game, but a 1-0 win is good enough. Ayr (3-1) and Raith (2-1) we've come back from a goal down to win with two great second half performances.

If we could start a game well and get a goal, we could do a bit of damage. It's good knowing we're capable of scoring as previously we just crumpled after going a goal down and had no chance of getting the win.

We are definately capable of getting the win on Saturday, so hopefully we can keep our run going.

I haven't felt this good since James McFadden scored against France in 2007

This probably hits the nail on head. But unfortunately he appears to lack confidence most of the time.

I don't think O'Brien had his best game on Saturday. But the pitch was quite heavy, which wouldn't help him.

However he does make himself available and saw a lot of the ball (probably more than Fred saw) which is a big factor in why Moore kept him on. He kept dropping back and showing for the ball, allowing us to keep posession. Ok, so as a winger he was mediocre, and didn't make too many runs, but he still contributed with a decent shift.

Mmm, presumably you've been missing a hell of a lot of games over the last three months specifically, and 2011 in general.

O'Brien has been possibly one of our most consistent performers and has been chipping in with a lot of crucial goals from midfield too.

Constructive defence of my criticism, fair enough. Sure beats Mr.McKee's offensive remarks!

Due to work committments, I only get to see around 1/3 of games, so admittedly I have missed his 3 league goals this season. Fair point VT.

"That's three wins on the trot for Morton, including at Dens Park. Hoping for a big draw at Cappielow"

Play like we did in the first half then we are capable of picking up something here.

If we let Morton dictate the play and boss the midfield we could get thumped.

I'll go for a scoring draw.

Ihave to agree with Vt on this one. David O'brian has been one of Morton's most consistent players throught the season. On his day, he can be deadly and when he isn't playing great, he will still give 100%. One of the first names on the team sheet IMO.

And the reason why he's played in more games than any other player for us this season. Player of the year for me so far, Bachirou and Tidser haven't played enough to truly deserve it.

We've kept three clean sheets this season, two of which were against Partick, who are shite. We will almost certainly concede.
