Alan or Alun ,can't remember which , was the 1st star of darts when it started to get televised. If you can manage to get a read of Sid Waddel book it gives you an account of darts as a TV sport in the early years.

How can the world title be a fraud,so jelle klassen,ted hankey,mark webster are all fraud wins ? Dont deserve to be world champions because its not on sky.

If adams was 20,30 years younger then he would no doubt move over where the bigger money is . He IS a class darts player who happens to enjoy playing for his county and country .He will be happy where he is and seems to enjoy himself in the BDO , if i was his age i would just stay where i am to.

It's hard to explain but there is something about the lakeside and the BDO world championship that i just love , sure the players are not as good , sure the prize money is not as good , you don't have all that glitz and glamour of the PDC but it feels more like real darts to me where real darts people are involved.
