Had an excellent bounce game against Sons Supporters on Wednesday night. Think both teams enjoyed the workout and the game was played in a good spirit. Hope we can do it again sometime soon. Thanks guys.

Playing Sandbank Rangers next Wednesday night. Were a good team many years ago when Clydebank Supporters played in the SSFL in the mid 90's. Would be good to see if they're still a quality side.

There still pretty good.

If you fancy a mid week game against beechwood Albion, then we would be happy to travel with the right koff time
Giving Alloa a 12 point lead and pipping them to the title on the last day of the season- PRICELESS!!

Would be good to play you guys at some point mate. Problem just now is that with a lot of games being postponed due to the weather, hundreds of teams are trying to book 3G pitches.
If you can find a park in your neck of the woods, any Tuesday or Wednesday, we wouldn't have a problem heading through. In the meantime, I'll keep searching for available pitches.

Excellent bounce game against Sandbank Rangers last night, although, I think the two 55 minute halves might have been 20 minutes too much.
Great workout for both teams and it was good to meet up with Willie Mo after so many years. Good to see that life has been kinder to me though! lol

Have they given you any support for joining the league?

You know what Willie is like mate, he doesn't give anything away. Basically, it comes down to us putting our case forward and hoping that most of the teams vote in our favour.
Think there would also have to be a change in the Constitution to allow non-senior clubs in, but that would have to go hand in hand with our inclusion.

Thought as much. You've got our vote anyway, best of luck whatever league you end up in.

When Meadowbank were franchised westwards in 1995 the League let the two Meadowbank teams carry on in the SSFL (because Thistle supporters helped set the League up in the 1980s) until the teams withdrew a few seasons after due to lack of players. (Games against Livingston were a bit tasty...)

Clydebank had teams that did quite well in the SSFL as I recall- it seems a shame to restrict membership to just League Clubs IMHO.

We at Edinburgh City still play Queens Park supporters in a friendly every year although its not so much a football game as more a bout of sumo wrestling these days given our unathleticism....

I was actually surprised the SSFL was still going- it used to get a bit of publicity when Meadowbank were on the go and the Evening News used to print scores and league tables but to be honest I thought the League was defunct because I hadn't heard about it for a few season.

tamthebam (scorer of a fine goal for Meadowbank Supporters against Dumbarton, 1997 or so! :P )
