Not January anymore, but Albion have signed ex-Morton striker Kevin Kelbie until the end of the season. Dunno if I'm pleased with this or not.

If I remember rightly from Morton fans' reports previously, mobility is an issue. Mind you, can't be any worse than Derek Colquohoun in that respect!

You won't be pleased. I can remember him, he's fucking awful.

Lee Bryce
Long ball (often colloquially referred to as 'hoofball') is the term used in association football to describe an attempt, often speculative, to distribute the ball a long distance down the field via a cross, without the intention to pass it to the feet of the receiving player.

It is a technique that can be especially effective for a team with either fast or tall strikers. The long ball technique is also a through pass from distance in an effort to get the ball by the defensive line and create a foot race between striker and defender.[1] While often derided as either boring or primitive,[2] it can prove effective where players or weather conditions suit this style; in particular, it is an effective counter-attacking style of play in which some defenders can be caught off-guard.

CBA making a new thread for this so I'll just ask in here.

We've got Sean Welsh from Hibs according to the lad's Twitter. Is any any good, Stirling and Stenny fans?

Decent player. Thought he was best in midfield, so logically we played him at RB and CB. Likes to get stuck in.

He played a handful of games for us at right fullback before getting injured and returning to Hibs. He was alright.

No, we're not. Repeating otherwise won't change the facts.

As mentioned previously on the other thread he is 23 in April so we arn't due a fee as Zico points out.

If a player turns 23 during the last season of his contract he is allowed to sign a PCA with another club and leave for free. If Robbo's birthday had been after the end of the season we would have got a fee for him.

Seems utter madness to have it based on date of birthday as opposed to year of birth. Idiotic ruling and once again we miss out.

It was 24 until 2007 and then became 23
