Jamie Campbell (midfielder)
Partick Thistle-Stenhousemuir (end of season loan)
Anyone know much about him? Given our last loanee from Partick I can't say I'm overly excited about this one.

Fraser won't play a higher level than juniors. I haven't seen anything in him that makes him a competent footballer.
Jamie Campbell has looked pretty solid when he's came on for us but he hasn't played in a while because we have reasonable depth in those positions. Usually plays in a right-mid/right-back slot but can play in the centre too. Hopefully he can get some game time when he's on loan.

Mark Lamont (CM) on loan until the end of the season from St. Mirren.
Little brown boy, the other side of the world....
He was born on a line many thousand year long, many more thousand to be
They survived on tradition, not wealth and position
Sounds pretty simple to me....

Sons have signed Ally Graham on loan from Falkirk for a month with the option to extend. He made waves for Falkirk recently by scoring the extra time goal against Dundee United that put Falkirk into the League Cup semi-final. Reports suggest he's a pacy striker with a bit of height so should hopefully fill the void up front in that respect.
We've also signed a midfielder on loan from St Mirren for the rest of the season called Mark Lamont, but I can't seem to find much info on him anywhere other than that he's a regular for Scotland under 19s.

I'd definitely say Campbell is a far superior player to Fraser, but as Stenny fans now know that's maybe not saying much. I have reasonable hopes of Campbell making an impact at Firhill though whereas I can never see Fraser making it. Campbell has got reasonable pace and can cross a ball better than most youngsters but is very small. He's fairly defensively responsible too. I'm surprised he's not had more of a chance under McNamara but it's fairly evident he's not getting a look in for now so hopefully he gets a chance at Stenny to prove McNamara wrong. I think it can be hard for loanees to push their way into a team at the top of a division, not sure if Stenny have a hole at right midfield that needs filled or if Irons is just bringing in a cheap option to bolster his subs (which is what I think Fraser always was). Would be disappointed if Irons sees Campbell the same way as it's not really much use to us (don't mind you doing that with Fraser though since he is mince).

We have no 'real' right mids at the club. We currently play Brown Ferguson there but he is doubtful for the game today. The other option is Grant Plenderlieth who is a young winger come striker but Irons doesn't seem to fancy him.
Wouldn't be too surprised to see this boy get a run out today.

Surely that title should be reserved for John Fleck?

It seems Kal Naismith who was out at Cowdenbeath is coming to us second half of the season.

The Cowden fans on here seem to be of the opinion that he's talented but lazy from what I can gather of their comments.

Its not even that he is lazy. He just isnt a team player. Wants to do everything himself and would rather lose the ball than pass. Bags of ability though.

Your more than welcome to him. Don't expect
too much. Crash Test Zombie summed him up perfectly.

Players that mid table 1st division teams allow to go out on loan tend to be pish. I knew Naismith would go to Thistle, can't get off the bench for us. Nuff said.

Safe to say the boy Campbell wasnt up to much today.
Would even go as far to say not much difference in ability and potential between him and Plenderleith!

Heh. The least said about Campbell's performance the better. He's better than that - I swear.

Brechin have confirmed the signing of Ewan Moyes from Gateshead while Bryan Hodge has extended his deal until the end of the season. Excellent news.
Oooooh Garry Brady....

Never thought I'd read that in the same paragraph!
I take it he's been doing well at Brechin then? I quite liked him at Thistle and when he first came I thought he was going to be excellent - but he never applied himself fully and his potential was never quite fulfilled. I'd be pleased if he's performing well now.

Started off slowly but is really coming onto a game now. If he works hard he is capable of playing at a higher level.

That's good to hear. I reckon he would have been a solid First Division player for us if he just tried for once.

He was my MOM yesterday. Puts in a good shift and seems to want the ball all the time. His distribution is good as well. After a slow start at Brechin he is fitting in well now and is becoming a first choice pick for JW.

GET FUCKING DAVIE COWAN SIGNED UP AGAIN. Cant believe he hasn't been offered a new deal yet. He has been outstanding.
Apart from that all we badly need is a winger and perhaps a striker. O'Brien will offer cover in centre mid along with Toorie when both are fit.
