How does this thing work?

If I set up a SkyID for my brother (who doesn't live with me and is not a Sky subscriber) what, if anything, will he be able to access of mine from his own Mac/iphone/ipad?

This is all the help I can really get from the Sky website. Logic dictates from a commercial point of view that he cant access 'paid for' stuff like TV and the Sky News for ipad app but it's pretty unclear.

You just sign into "Sky Go" on his laptop/iphone/ipad. Beware you can only register two devices. He can watch anything thats on demand providing you subscribe. I.E. he only gets sports if you subscribe to sports

Yes, I forgot to ask about the devices in my OP. I have my laptop and iphone registered. The Sky 'manage devices' page says "With Sky Go you can register up to 2 devices per household and watch on both at the same time. Your devices can be any combination of PCs, Macs, iPhones or iPads.

A new device will automatically be registered when you watch any channel on it for the first time.

If you'd like to change your registered devices you can do so once a month."

Does that therefore mean that if he accesses the TV on any of his devices it will automatically register it at the expense of one of my own and it can't be rectified for a month?

Is online content different? Will he be able to access the Sky News ipad app for free when it normally charges a subscription to non Sky Users.

Sorry for so many questions. All help appreciated.

Not quite sure what you mean...

You'll have your sky box, your brothers device and 1 other device.

online content is channels as live, you'll see them on Sky Go. and the "anytime" feature.

He'll not get the app(i dont think) but will be able to "watch" sky news on his device.

Did something similar using sky on Xbox, we don't have sky and my parents have multi room so I've now got sky via their account. Yaaay!
