In the time it took you to read this, John Hewitt had already scored the Scottish Cup's fastest goal.

I've been meaning to pick this up when I've been out but I haven't got around to it. The only NFL game I've ever played is Blitz so it will probably take a bit of getting used to.

It's pretty good.
It still has little glitches but the Franchise mode is better this year.

Just seen this thread. Madden is great, although I am not. I get pumped whenever I play online and can't seem to make any plays whatsoever apart from 3 yard rushes. Getting better at defense though controlling the MLB's.
Franchise mode is better as well. Really enjoying my fantasy draft season with Michael Vick at QB.

Looking forward to next year when the NFL2K franchise gets the NFL licence back (think it's next year anyway), as NFL2K5, despite being seven years old now, is still better than any Madden game which has come after it.

They may not. EA could extend their deal? Is 2k5 really that good, or is it a bit like PES on the PS2 and/or fanboy stuff? If you could update the rosters via USB id pick it up for a fiver n try it out.
Madden 12 was a game i wasn't going to buy but did. Im actually enjoying it. Refreshing to play a Madden game and get realistic stats and scores, even with 12 minute quarters (as opposed to 5).
Having played american football at the highest level i could (in the uk at that time) i feel that the extra knowledge of how plays work and develop really helps offensively, compared to someone who is a casual fan and watches the odd game here and there.
Not perfect, but solid enough.

Michael Vick was severely pissing me off in my franchise (he can't pass) and I couldn't trade him, not even for Mark Sanchez.
So I've been playing Ultimate Team a lot recently. It's very different to Fifa UT and much easier to make coins. I have 300k in the bank and a beasting team, just a shame I'm not that good at actually playing games. Won 2 in my last 5 though so I think I'm getting a bit better.
