Darren Barr, Thomson (non molesting one), Sutton, Stevenson and another.

:D

You can have Sutton and Obua too :D
Originally written by John Robertson, Hearts legend and hammer of the wee team with 27 fantastic goals!

For the next decade I was driven by desire to crush Hibs at EVERY opportunity.

It didn’t matter if I scored for the reserves or first team — every goal against them gave me immense satisfaction.

You would have thought Wigan would have learnt after signing, one season wider Connor sammon. In fact sammon is probably better at that level, as he can run.

For Celtic I don't think there is anyone we really need to get rid of at the moment. Perhaps a few players from the edges of our squad will go - Commons leaving is a possibility I suppose, he hasn't kicked a ball this season but I really hope he'll get a chance again, he was fantastic for us last year. Paddy could probably go, don't get me wrong I'd be gutted to see him leave but he just isn't getting much of a look in. I would have expected the likes of Cha and Loovens to move on but they seem quite content and Lenny seems happy to have them in the squad. I expect Samaras to stay, he's been playing really well the past few weeks and despite the criticism he gets I do think the big man loves it here. In midfield I think we will keep a hold of Kayal, Wanyama, Ki, Ledley and Brown. I posted on a similar thread that I thought Brown was a certainty to be off but since then he's signed a new deal and has been thrown back into the team by Lenny. Wanyama, Kayal and Ledley are too important to sell, I suspect if we got a big money offer for Ki he might be on his way as his style of play isn't always suited to a 4-4-2 system in some of our more physical games. Still I'd be really surprised if Lenny lets him go when we are chasing the title given that he is a top quality footballer. Other than that, I don't see a great deal of future at the club for Mark Wilson with Lustig and Matthews in the frame, nothing against the bhoy but that's just the way it looks at the moment. Badr obviously won't be kept on because he's rubbish. Bangura hasn't lived up to expectations yet but he has had a bad injury and I can't see us cutting our losses this early.

I'm looking forward to Izzy coming back into our team, if ever that old pishy line about injured players regaining fitness and being like a new signing applied anywhere in football, it applies here. I think we could do with a striker and a centre half. I see we've been linked with Cuellar and whilst it is probably pish, we could do worse than signing him, despite his ex team. Upfront we've been linked with Diawara but it looks like we might have missed the boat with that one. Jordan Rhodes is another Lenny has had a look at and while he sounds quite good I've not seen enough to have an informed opinion. Other than that, unless big players leave, I don't think we really need any other signings.

After the insult of an offer for Davidson in the summer, I doubt we'll be easy to deal with.

With so much at stake for us, anyone wanting Sandaza 6 months early will have to cough up well into 6 figures IMO.

Going - preferably nobody, but possibly Commons/McCourt.

Coming in - striker and new centre back.

Nothing to do with that, he's just... no very good?

Easily our best player this season. The main transfer priority for January for us should be trying to keep him.

Apart from that, I'd like to see us ship out some of the guys who are surplus to requirements. I'd like Mixu's imaginary signing Billy Berntsson to leave (assuming he actually exists), but he still has a year I think. Maybe a Swedish team will take him. Some of Shiels' summer signings who didn't work out will also go. The chairman said at the AGM that there were early release mechanisms in their contracts if things didn't work out. Ada has been frozen out for non-footballing reasons, and will almost certainly go. Galan is on loan and I can't see any point in keeping him. Panikvar has barely played, so he may go too. Hutchinson's short-term deal is up, and he'll leave.

We will be keen to bring in another striker to take some of the burden of Heffernan. He has been playing through an injury recently and his performances have suffered somewhat. We were priced out of the first two players that Shiels identified - Werder Bremen were due compensation for Liam Boyce, and then Swansea, Everton and Liverpool all joined the race* for Rory Donnelly. I have no doubt that he will have other targets.

*as soon as these clubs were involved, we were more like a cyclist trying to take part in the Monaco Grand Prix.

I fail to see whats so ridiculous about that statement, 6 figures is £100,000+, which he is more than worth, I would say 4 or 5 times that amount.
