Rangers are tactically appealing the Lee McCulloch red card. The referee had a perfect view of the incident so in a normal football world would have no chance of being successful.
Is there such a thing as the frivolous appeal rule in Scotland? So can he expect more than the automatic two game ban?

It would be worse for us if he was suspended. so it has its good points.
Hes god awful and the fact he's "allys boy" means that he'll play every week...which is great

From the horse's mouth - Stewart Regan tweeted this.
"the process allows for extra sanction for frivolous appeals if panel believes there has been such a case."
He's currently fighting a losing battle with Celtic fans having a go about McCulloch's appeal. Not sure what they expect him to do.

Rather than ask the clubs to lodge £1000 to lodge an appeal (which, of course, skews the process to those who have the money), it should cost the player an extra game automatically if he loses the appeal. That might sort out the current situation where it seems that almost every dismissal is the subject of an appeal. It's now a farce.

And it would allow smaller clubs to appeal decisions which they genuinely think were wrong but cannot afford to risk £1000 if the decision goes against them.
