They have auditions before the televised ones, they are the second stage.

Ah, that makes sense then. I thought it seemed a bit odd.

Also got around to using everything in the spice rack so that's another one down. I'm not blogging that though. It's even duller than the one about fannies.

Another of my list with my treble of west ham, fulham and a draw in the newcastle-sunderland coming in yesterday. Returned a massive £14.

Right, here is where I am so far. Bolds are a work in progress and italics are done.

3. Quit Smoking, PERMANENTLY. This must be at least double figures now for the amount of attempts I’ve done this. But when you’re in the pub, the temptation becomes so much stronger thanks to a lack of inhibitions. Then of course, are the superb killing time joys of the fag breaks at work. I must easily kill at least an hour to and an hour and a half of the day with this alone. Also, I’m asthmatic, and with the minor cold I had over the winter, I’ve still not rid myself of the damn thing. This will be a challenge, but fortunately one of my other mates is trying to do the same. Hopefully with us helping each other it will double our chances…hopefully.

Four months and going stronger. Days out drinking and slow days at work are the hardest. I hoping that point where it starts to get easier comes soon.

4. Get fit again. I still play football for my local amateur side, so that does to an extent keep me in check. That said, its been roughly six weeks since I last did any legitimate exercise(does a ride count?). Plus another half stone in festive weight gained has taken me to a near whopping 14 stone which has earned me the trademark name of J- Lo thanks to that trunk I carry. I have to say I’ll enjoy my football so much more as well.

Well not smoking has helped for a start, and I'm sitting at 13 and a half, so technically speaking I am a lot fitter than I was, but I can still do better.

5. Get back into my guitar. I used to be not half bad at it considering I have self-taught myself on the damn thing. It used to be so stimulating, but the longer you stay away from it, the harder it is to get back into it. Plus, I could do with serenading my way back in a girl or two’s good graces in the most annoyingly cheesy manner possible.

I'm certainly creeping slowly back into it, breaking myself in gently playing 5-10 minutes a day and the odd occasion an hour.

6. Come out of this year with a positive figured bank balance from betting. I’m a fairly avid gambler and probably would have made my target if it wasn’t for that naïve £50(biggest bet ever made) on Man City to beat Chelsea. It was going so well after the first couple of minutes as well. Bloody Cliché. I’m sticking to singles this year, which you can read about why it’s the more rational way of betting in the link attached. http://footballspeak...ulator-bet.aspx

Had a £245 win which has boosted my fortunes of late. I've not got the exact figures, but I sitting roughly at £40 up for the season. Will update soon.

9. Go to country where people don’t speak English or Spanish. I’ve only ever been around parts of Great Britain and Spain. I’d like to change the scenery on that one.

Krakow in 10 days baby 8)

10. Get to over 200 followers on Twitter. I’m hitting close to 100 just now after 8 months. Only now, am I starting to really use it.

14. Be in a proper relationship for longer than three months. That’s my record so far, and I’m not too optimistic of beating it just yet.

3 and a half months, if you can call much of a relationship, but I'm taking it.

16. Do further learning. I’ve only got a HND in Engineering through my work, but I’d like to a least get on the market for a degree and onwards to improve my career aspirations.

Application was successful at work and I start my 4 year day release course in September.

19. Watch Dexter. Shamelessly stolen from Gordon the Gopher. I’ve always wanted to see this.

2 seasons in and fucking loving it.

24. Cancel my Lovefilm. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now.

28. Decide whether to Laser Surgery or get myself a sexy pair of Glasses. I’m at the end of my lifecycle when it comes to wearing them. My eyes are just too dry.

Probably going to opt for a new pair of specs, which I will be getting in the next couple of days as my own ones are on their last legs.

33. Go two weeks without a w**k. It’s harder than it sounds…

Technically speaking it was longer(17 days) I HAVE WILL POWER!!

39. Finish watching Chuck, and then get all the seasons on DVD. I’ve only seen one episode of season 5 for my shame, considering it is the best tv show ever.
Bitchin 8)

43. Watch a game of football in a stadium I’ve never been to. New St. Mirren park and pittodrie continue to elude me.
Went to St, Mirren for the replay.

50. Keep up to date with this blog.

Work in progress

I make the 6/50, with 9 in progress.
Gambling Season 2011: -£19.84 Gambling Year 2012:+£0.50

Looking to cross off one later tonight by staying up for 24 hours straight. In a bid to get my sleeping pattern back into some regularity for exam time I didn't get very much sleep last night(2 hours) because I was going into uni at 9 so when I got back at around 3ish I decided to go to sleep, walking up at around 10pm and then my plan is to stay up until 10/11pm tonight and go to bed then so that'll be me awake for 24 hours straight.

I dunno if it's the fact that I'm awake at this time, but I'm feeling pretty tired just now, only 7 hours removed from sleep Posted Image

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

Success! Felt a lot more awake at around 7am-ish and then was working on my project while chatting on facebook with uni mates about it so I was kept busy. The Champion's League game helped me immeasurably as well.

Well we're just over 1/3 of the way through the year, how's everybody doing?

I've completed 13 of my 50 and pending 5. So just about on track with it, still got lots to do though obviously.

The weekly ones seem to be the hardest to keep going eg. "Watch one new movie per week" I've definitely not kept up with this but probably every 'other' week I have.
