A client of mine is looking for a .net developer to join their system design team based just outside Glasgow.

Role is permanent up to £38K or they will consider contract resource @ top end of £400 per day for an initial 3 month gig.

Brief Description

You must be a competent designer with sound technical knowledge, which will enhance the delivery of technical solutions to our customers.

Your understanding and experience of the development lifecycle will enable you to perform the following functions:

  • undertake development tasks with the minimum of supervision, including requirements gathering, design, development and testing;
  • provide estimates for specific items of work;
  • provide detailed support to others carrying out consultancy work;
  • produce high quality documentation, including
  • technical elements of proposals;
  • understand and apply a formal quality approach.

You must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of software engineering methodologies, Object Orientated Design, UML and n-tier systems development and architecture.

You must have a reasonable knowledge of current major technologies, and hands-on experience in the following:

  • .NET – C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET
  • SQL Server
  • Web – DHTML/XML/Web Services
  • ASP
  • Visual Basic

An understanding of the following would also be advantageous (but not essential):
  • Oracle – AS10g, Forms, Reports, Database
  • Business Objects
  • CLAS.
  • Visual C++
  • C++
  • Windows Servers
  • Unix/Linux

A highly motivated self-starter, you will manage your own time and, where appropriate, mentor less experienced team members. You will bring excellent verbal and written communication skills to the role and will thrive on delivering results in a quality environment.

Miscellaneous
A full, clean driving licence may be useful
Candidates must be willing to travel and work awayfrom home when required

Bit of a punt but thought I'd see if anyone out there might fit the bill or know someone who might.

If there is any interest please send an email to sales @ bigfrontdoor.com :)
